Great shine!
This product is old school for sure. Full disclosure, it’s very greasy and oily. That doesn’t bother me at all. If it doesn’t bother you, you’ll love the super shiny look it will give your hair. I also like the light scent. Other Murray’s products, although most also produce a nice shine, have much stronger scents.

Great Smell, Smooth Application
I use this product as an additive to Murray's Australian Bee's Wax or Regular Pomade. It thins the mix alittle, smooths the hair, and give you that pleasant barbershop coconut smell. The scent is very subtle, but pleasant. Murray's is my go-to for value and dependability.

30's style hair dressing FTW
Absolutely love this stuff.. It's not strictly a pomade, but as vintage hair dressings go this one is my current favorite. It's got a bit more hold than other hair dressings (not anything like pomade of course), it goes on smooth and easy, not stiff at all, adds plenty of shine, it really has no smell to speak of and it washes out easily in the shower. Oh, and it's got like 5 ingredients..

5 stars but
I'm giving this 5 stars because I can't properly judge it. I'm female, have shoulder length, caucasian, very curly hair. I wanted to try this to see if it would make my hair shiny and less frizzy. It didn't, this stuff is like wax. My hair turned out to look really bad. This seems more for men with short hair to give it that old fashioned greased down or spiked look.

Perfect for What I Need
I have a 1930's or 1940's style haircut and have looked all over for a hair product that has good hold, that 40's shine, a nice smell, that isn't greasy and nasty or like wax that takes days and days to get out of your hair (and ruins pillow cases). The water-based "pomades" today are basically incredibly overpriced hair gels, and I think they are horrible. I had even tried some of Murray's other hair products and wasn't terribly impressed for my purposes, mainly because they were so heavy and difficult to wash out. When I got Murray's Hair-Glo and opened the can, I was skeptical at first because it looked like petroleum jelly, and in fact the primary ingredient is petrolatum. However, once I applied it to my hair, the hold is medium and it has that fresh Humphrey Bogart movie star sheen without looking greasy, and it has a feint smell of coconut (although nothing perfume-smelling or feminine). In the shower, I say it felt like it washed almost completely out. If I use it in conjunction with Groom & Clean, in the shower later it feels like it washes completely out, which in the world of old school hair products is extremely rare. Usually you sacrifice quality of product for ease of rinse, but not with Hair-Glo. Fair price, effective hold, fresh sheen, nice smell, classic Murray's reputation. All in all, this is a great product. I'd give it five stars but, let's face it, there can always be room for improvement. Bigger can, perhaps?

Nice feel, some shine
I got this looking for a middle ground between Murray's Super Light and Blue Magic, and it falls right between the two. A bit smoother to put in than Super Light with more flexibility in the hair. A bit more hold than Blue Magic, and it has lanolin, which makes a nice difference in the softness it gives my hair. It does give a tiny bit more shine than the other products, which may or may not be what you are looking for.
