really settling
The clock was bought to go into the kitchen. It is a great help to let the person with dementia to know what time of the day it is. It does seem to help with the meals at the wrong time of day. The automatic setting is a great plus and the lack of a power cord makes it much safer and tamper proof. I would have preferred a black finish but the colour was clear before the purchase.

Dreadful quality - very cheap and nasty item at a not so cheap price
Ordered one of these for my elderly mother who suffers from Alzheimer's, hopefully to help her know what time of the day it is in terms of morning, afternoon, evening or night. The first one arrived in many pieces, probably due to the way that the delivery driver threw it over our gate onto the drive and then marked it as 'handed to resident', while we were watching on a camera from a few miles away. The glass in the front of the analogue display was shattered.Replacement arrived the following day, without broken glass this time. However, the glass in the front of the analogue display was offset from square and it moved around a lot. It wouldn't hold in place if moved to the correct position, which seems to be because it should be held in place by 4 right angle bits of plastic, one in each corner, but they are all broken to some extent. This one is going back to Amazon too as I've seen enough of the quality of this item to know I don't want to risk another.

I was lucky to obtain one from the damaged box warehouse at Amazon at a sensible price!

Poor design, Overly complicated set up, Cheap materials
This clock is overly complicated & not really good for dementia. To set it up, without dementia is very complicated. The digital display options are poorly thought out. You cant set it showing Day & Date at once, you can have date, month and year ( pointless having year ) or just the day on its own and then you cant see the date or month or the pointless year feature. Set up is complex. Each time you change the battery it loses all its wireless memory and has to set up again. I had to leave mine outside for 30 minutes to pick up the signal. The item is very cheaply made, the screen to the analogue clock is "float glass" - cheaper than plastic and will break or shatter on any knock or in transit when being delivered. I cannot recommend this. Its overly priced for what it is. You are also charged V.A.T which should not be charged for a disabled users item as per UK law.

Well worth buying.
Uncle particularly liked the round click face with numbers. He said it was better than the one downstairs which gave the time as a number (digital).

Great Clock!
Apparently this is THE best selling clock in Tromsø (Norway) as its really useful during those winter months of total darkness, and the summer ones of all day daylight. It's also great for those days when you wake up and you're not sure if its morning or if you have slept straight through to evening.

Effective but confusing / hard to set up.
Difficult and confusing to set up / adjust.Digital display is dark; would be better if illuminated.Brutal design.Analog display is easy to read; good font.
