This is lovely. We used to buy wheatgerm from the famous high street health food stores, but they started mucking about with it, firstly halving the pack size but charging the same price, then they changed the formulation by adding in wheat bran. Basically they cut it by using the cheaper wheat bran. The fibre content went up, now some might say that's a good thing as we all need roughage, right? But it didn't taste like wheatgerm anymore, it lost its clean-looking fresh-looking yellow colour, the colour of late summer harvest; it certainly lost its fresh aroma. It didn't help that they changed from a yellow packet evocative of what the contents were supposed to be, and changed design to a gaudy sickly pink the colour of the worst sweets you could think of. This was supposed to be a breakfast grain! That high street store also has begun having stocking issues, it's was always out of stock, oh they were so sorry, please order again in a few days, but it was always out of stock and we could never get answers from them, why were they having trouble, it's not like the world stopped growing wheat. Then they stopped showing it on the website and a bunch of other staple breakfast grains we had always had from them since the '70s, and they deleted them all from my favourites list like they'd never existed. So my search began, somewhere there must be actual real wheatgerm. Not in supermarkets. A web search showed a few independent mills, but none local, EXCEPT some do sell on Amazon......... If you have read this far you have experienced the same sort of time as I had to-ing and fro-ing in disappointment until you reached this end. This may be the end of my search, for decent honest actual wheatgerm, the colour it is supposed to be, the aroma upon opening the packet that it is supposed to be, the freshness it is supposed to be, the taste it is supposed to be. JOY.

The taste of this cereal is quite good, it suits my palate, and it's healthy. I usually have it for breakfast. The only drawback is that it's a bit expensive. It would be even better if it were cheaper.

Anyone out there that was brought up with Froment will know exactly what I mean. Another customer wrote about this and it prompted me to send a review. Growing up, my mom used to put Wheatgerm on my morning ceriel. It's got a lovely nutty taste, and I just love it., I think it's good for the nervous system, but not sure on that, but definitly, good for you anyway. You get a big bag, and I consider this very good value for money as well as good for your system, worth trying as it elevates the flavour on your ceriel.

This item is very nice sprinkled on porridge, cereal, or mixed with yogurt and fruit, or mixed into soup. Extra source of Vit.E

very good value for money and excellent quality wheatgerm !

It's getting harder to find good quality, unadulterated wheatgerm now: too often It's 'toasted' which means much of the lovely musky/ nutty/mushroom flavours and goodness is lost. This is the 'real deal ', with a resealable pack and a use by date well over a year away. I add it to my muesli to make it taste really special. Delivery was the following day.
