RV bed
In case you’re looking for upholstery foam to make a bed like I did…I initially purchased 5” medium density foam on Amazon that was WAY too firm as a mattress. (I’m talking stiff as a board.) After months of padding it I finally tried this 3” medium density with a 3” purple foam mattress topper also from Amazon. If you like a firm mattress, it’s a good combo. The upholstery foam is thick and firm enough that I can’t feel the wood planks below it (even without the topper); and with the topper, it’s got a pretty good cushion to soften up that rigid firmness of the upholstery foam. If you like a soft squishy bed, this is not the combo for you.

Works well as mattress
I ordered this 3" medium firm density foam to replace a worn out camper mattress. It provides good support. I considered 4" at near twice the price but took a chance on the 3" which is plenty comfortable. When it arrived it measured 38 1/2" x 70". After it expanded after a couple days it measured 40" x 71 1/2 "It cuts easily with an electric kitchen knife.I considered the (higher) firm density pad. It would have proven to be much to firm. This medium density pad is firm enough. I'm thinking about adding a 1" softer pad to provide a "luxury" feel.

Many Uses for Foam
Used the foam in a window as part of portable air conditioner exhaust hose. Was really easy to cut with my electric knife and it has been a very good insulator against afternoon sun. I donated the remaining foam so it didn't go to waste. Shipping was fast and foam was folded in a way to save a lot on shipping charges.

Firmer then I expected
I'm using this for bedding and cushions for my camper. It's fiber then what I expected but its nothing I'm sure a mattress topper I was planning to add won't fix

Great stuff!
Great stuff, great price. I used it for dog bed; a little stiff but should last a lot longer than the softer stuff - two 60# collie dogs. Would make a great seat cushion (for human weight users!) Comes in a tiny package - don't be alarmed, it expands fine when unwrapped.

Very firm
It says medium density. I used this as a topper for a futon that had metal frames you could feel. You can no longer feel them. But I weigh 200lbs and it feels like I'm laying on wood with a thin blanket

Great product
Easy to use. I cut mine with an Electric knife. My first time using foam or making cushions and it was easy. The cushions are very comfortable and the perfect thickness.

This is not memory foam - just a giant piece of foam
Yes, this giant piece of foam made a fold-out sofa more comfortable than sleeping on the cheap fold-out sofa with no added padding, but it is not memory foam, and is rather firm. Even worse, it can’t be folded up to store, so it basically took up an entire closet when I didn’t have houseguests. I ended up just throwing it in the garbage, and — for the same price — buying a 1 1/2 inch thick memory foam mattress topper from Target, which is much more comfortable, and when I don’t have guests, it folds up easily and can be stored on the top shelf in my closet.
