what paints do I need

Hi Alan With regards to your question you will need Tamiya paints and a full list is provided in the instruction leaflet. These are water based acrylic paints. However it’s usually best to prime the plastic parts first before painting and the tamiya spray primer is ideal. A couple of the paints only come in aerosol format. Hobbycraft stock the paints for £2 each if you need to get painting now but they don’t stock the aerosol type. I found it’s cheaper to obtain the paints from a proper model store like Emodels. They have been really good. You will be able to order all paints in one go as you will need quite a few for this model. Check out plasmo by David damek on YouTube for hints and tips. He’s good. Do I also need a compressor?

No you do not need a compressor to build the kit and it will depend on how you want to paint it. You can paint it by hand but if you wish to paint it with an air brush then you will need a compressor. Kind regards
