Samsonite Winfield 3 DLX Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinners, Black, Carry-On 20-Inch

Traveling has become so much easier since I switched to the Samsonite Winfield 3 DLX Spinner. This luggage checks every box for durability, style, and functionality. First off, the spinner wheels are incredibly smooth—I can glide this bag effortlessly through airports, even when it’s fully packed. The 360° rotation makes navigating tight spaces or busy terminals a breeze. It also holds up well on different surfaces (carpet, tile, even cobblestone) without tipping or dragging. The polycarbonate shell is tough but lightweight, and it has a sleek, modern design that still looks great after several trips. It’s resisted scratches and dings better than I expected. The built-in TSA-approved lock is a nice touch for peace of mind, especially when checking the bag. Inside, it’s very well-organized. The compartments and compression straps make packing efficient, and the expandable feature offers a little extra room when needed—perfect for souvenirs or heavier winter clothes. If you’re a frequent traveler or just want a high-quality suitcase that will last for years, Samsonite’s spinner luggage is a solid investment. I've had this suitcase for two years, and I've used it on 4 international trips. I bought the 28" size and it's very roomy, holds 14 days worth of clothing and a (large, don't judge me!) toiletries case. I love how I can organize things, and the interior flap and fasteners holds everything in place. The TSA friendly lock is great, it's build-in so there's no scramble to find padlocks before you leave home. The suitcase is of medium weight, not as light as a fabric case but not too heavy. I honestly bought this suitcase for the spinner wheels. I have lower back issues and I was hoping that a suitcase that could be maneuvered efficiently whilst upright would help. It does, and it puts zero strain on my back. It makes travelling a lot less stressful. I've noticed that some reviews have noted zipper problems. I haven't experienced that, the zippers are great. If I had a single problem with the suitcase it would be the interior flap. It's functional and the pockets are great for light, slim items, but it's held in place with clips, not zippered. I know someone with a case that has a zippered flap, and it's pretty amazing. On the other hand, that case costs $75 more, so I'll accept the clips.

I bought this carryon as my frequent business travel carryon. It was great, perfect size, easy to maneuver and easy to spot if I checked the bag. That is until it cracked close to the handle bar. It was useable but not the same. Samsonite read my review and after I provided basic information they were able to overnight a brand new one, just in time for my business trip. The luggage looks good, inside is nice and works well, but the shell is simply NOT durable. I've traveled with this set of luggage twice where all bags were checked in on United Airlines. On the first trip, the 25" pc got a huge crack in the front face on the return trip rendering it unusable. With a lot of talking and back and forth, Samsonite eventually replaced the 25" suitcase. I just returned from a second trip using the original 20" and 28" bags plus the replacement 25". On the 25", the rubbery outer coating of one wheel half ripped off on the cobblestone streets of Venice making it now a very noisy and awkward bag to roll. I can kind of give Samsonite a pass on the wheel since it was a rough surface, but still, it's luggage and it's Samsonite. I certainly expected better. And the worse part is yet another major front face crack on this new replacement bag after claiming it post-flight. Another suitcase down the drain. And lastly, there's now a 3" corner crack on the 28" bag. The bags weren't mishandled at all during regular use to/from the airports and the hotels... wheeled as you normally would and checked in as you normally would. The 25" and 28" pieces of luggage aren't carry-on size... if you're using them to fly, you're checking them in. They need to be able to handle normal use of being checked in. I just can't recommend these bags after so little use getting this many major cracks. I didn't expect 'disposable' luggage from Samsonite... pretty disappointing.

I travel a lot for work and need a bag that I can confidently carry onto a plane as I hate checking baggage. While this product meets that need, there are some negatives that slot this into a temporary replacement for my case that recently broke. Pros: - Nice exterior, the flexibility of the outer shell is great and the color is like a silver blue. This is not a hard shell and will crack if you are careless! - Pull up handle feels great and sturdy. Cons: - The zipper opening is in the middle and divides the case into two equally sized compartments. This is different from my old Samsonite and I'm not a fan. I need to often bring two pairs of shoes and that completely dominates one side. Also it makes it difficult on toiletries which are in the center of both halves. This greatly reduces available space. I would only recommend this for a 2 - 3 day trip, anything beyond that and you'll have to pray your clothes are tiny and/or you're a folding master. I use the roll up technique and was able to squeeze out enough for 5 days barely. Conclusion: Great case for a couple days, travels well and you can customize the case with stickers to differentiate yours. The con listed above is big enough that I personally wouldn't buy this design again, but I was in a situation where I needed a case fast and that wasn't too pricy. If you take a lot of small trips or weekend getaways, you'll love this case.

Love these. It's hard to find quality luggage these days. Everything is so cheaply made. I purchased a well known brand a few months back that didn't even make it to Spain without a wheel falling off. As someone who travels often, quality is necessary. Nothing worse then having to push a 3 wheeled 50lb piece of luggage around lol This set has not disappointed. It's been put to the test 3 times since I bought it a few months ago. That's 6 different flights. They are built well. Solid design that seems to be able to hold up to not being crushed. I also love how smooth it is to push. You can glide these through an airport with one finger. Loved these so much I bought a second set for my husband. I have the orange and purple

I was super indecisive about this suitcase. I almost canceled the order. I'm sure glad I didn't. This is my first hard shell suitcase and I love it. I was worried that it would get destroyed and come back with a huge hole or something due to some of the pictures in the reviews. I was wrong. This pictures only represent a small number of owners. It's sturdy and made to be durable. The exterior shell was made to cushion blows and have other suitcase bounce off. I packed my larger laptop, 2 weeks worth of clothes, 3 pair of shoes, a pair of slides and still had room. The suitcase came back unharmed in good condition. This is only the first trip with the suitcase. I guess time will tell on durability. It just looks so clean and modern. The wheels just let me whip through the airport. I got the midsized suitcase, because I hate the overhead fight that everyone has with carry ons to avoid any extra charges. I would rather psy the fee snd check my larger suitcase and use a Samsung or Apple air tag to track the movement.
