I absolutely love this pen! Honestly when I ordered it, I was a little worried that the quality wouldn't be so good because of the price. I thought that the more a pen cost, the better the quality and the cheaper the pen, the worse the quality. So, comparing the price of this pen to other really expensive pens in the market really made me feel like there is no way that an affordable pen like this could have such good quality. BUT, boy was I wrong. As soon as it arrived, I immediately starting playing with it. I love the way it feels in my hand. It has a nice weight to it. When I write I like to attach the cap on the other end to balance the weight. I has an elegant design and I love the details on the pen; there is a nice balance of the two colors on the pen. The pen I ordered was gold and black and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The smoothness of the writing is the wow factor here. The ink runs smoothly like butter and it also runs consistently, there are no blobs and faint lines. It's so easy to write with this pen. Inserting ink in this pen is painless and honestly quite enjoyable. I really am impressed with the quality of this pen and I feel like I got really lucky, but in part I don't think it's luck, I just think that Dryden Designs is an excellent, honest brand. And that's all I want. I want to purchase another pen from them since my first purchase was so great. There aren't enough good things to say about this pen. Thank you Dryden Designs for my first fountain pen.

This fountain pen in very nice and beautiful. The quality is very good and easy to put the cartridge in. This is my first time trying a fountain pen and I am very happy. It writes smooth and when I inserted the cartridge the ink came in into the nib right away. This pen has some weight to it when using the cap on the back. I got this pen at a nice sale price (only $9, a great deal). It came with a nice pen pouch, 24 cartridges and a second nib (haven't switched them out to try yet). Also has a ink converter that you take out to insert the cartridge (was confused, I'm new). You DONT use the converter at all if your using the provided cartridges. Don't worry for first timers like my self Instructions are included!

Beautiful pen. Feels like a very expensive one. Writes nicely. Good flow. My only complaint is that I only received 6 cartridges not the 24 as expected

This is a nice initial fountain pen for someone. It's very easy to use and easy to clean. With the top on, it feels great, and the weight and size feel natural.

I own several fountain pens and recently added this pen from Dryden to my collection. The price was reduced and decided to try it. At first, I was somewhat disappointed in it's performance (it skipped and the ink flow was erratic). I blamed it on both the pen itself and the cartridges. HOWEVER, after a few days and a more careful examination, I realized I was hasty when installing the cartridge. I took care this time and installed the cartridge with slow precision and wow - what a difference! The cartridge snapped in tightly and correctly (you could hear and feel it). It writes like a dream with or without the cap. I tend to write fast and it hasn't skipped at all. This pen is a winner and I am sure I will be using it on a daily basis. Seller gets an A+ for excellent packaging, quick handling and an overall great purchase!

I used many fountain pens during my school years, and I am trying to get back into it again. I wanted to start with a good quality pen before jumping into more expensive ones. After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to buy Dryden fountain pen. Just received my pen today. Here are my initial thoughts. 1. Pen seems to be well made, does not feel cheap. 2. I am using it with Parker Black Quink. 3. It writes smooth. I think the Fine Nib is between 5mm to 7mm roller ball thickness. 4. The pen cap is where the problems start. It snaps OK on the nib side. But it does not stay on on the other side of the pen when you are writing. That is the most frustrating part for me. The cap provided the necessary weight to the pen and without that staying on snugly, takes away the joy of writing. I really want to like this pen, it writes well, so I will continue to use and figure out why the cap does not stay on.

This pen set is 5 star! It is beautiful looking, it feels well weighted and the fine nib that I am currently using writes smoothly like pricier pens I own. The converter filled easily and it holds a decent amount of ink! I like this pen, the fact that it comes with a pouch, 24 cartridges and a nice converter so much I have ordered another in a different color as well as one to gift.

This pen is not a good fountain pen. It's hard to write with because it's metal and heavy and awkward to hold. The cap will not post which would help it sit in my hand better. It would still be too heavy and hard to use. The ink doesn't flow easily. I paid over 20 dollars for it and a few ink cartridges. very disappointed with this and would not recommend to anyone. I did not read the reviews which is my own fault. I really got taken with this. It looked very shiny and appealing but I've been unhappy with it ever since I received it. I didn't read the recommendations and so it's my own doing or rather my not doing that's at fault. Don't be fooled like I was.
