Easy to install and they work perfectly
Now that the pandemic is over and I no longer work from home, I wanted to move my desk and computer to a more convenient location away from the wi-fi modem, but I wanted to continue using the ethernet cable. This set of adapters worked perfectly. They were super-easy to set up, and I haven't had any problems with the signal strength.

How to sync
Follow instructions as advised. Powerline for me wasn’t initially on for me. Plug them into what you’re using and both the ether and power light should be green. Once both powered hold the sync button for two seconds on one of them. The Ethernet light should start blinking. You have 2mins to go to the other device and do the same thing. The power line light should turn on after that. Note: Holding longer than two seconds wouldn’t allow me to synchronize it so try to hold for only two seconds.

Would not connect.
With many years of IT and network experience, I can usually get any network device to work. This device just wouldn't connect or work properly. I followed all troubleshooting steps, downloaded the user guides and the utility (which was blocked and then required another discontinued 3rd party app to run?) but no matter what, the units would not sync. I finally factory reset them and after that, they synced up on outlets close to each other but only with a red LED and 10Mbps on 100Mbps Internet. I tested my WiFi in the same location and got the full 100Mbps. I thought maybe the wiring was the problem, so I then ordered the TP-Link AV1000 (I was advised to order this unit initially but it was out of stock so I ordered the TrendNet unit instead). What a breath of fresh air when it arrived. The TP-Link AV1000 connected instantly with no configuration and worked right out of the box. I realized I didn't have a wiring problem just a TrendNet product that wouldn't work. I spent at least an hour and a half troubleshooting that unit and had to return it. The TP-Link AV1000 works great. There are much better products out there. I would be careful purchasing this.

Connectivity Issues
I intalled these to route ethernet to my basement from my router. It all worked just fine for a couple of days. Then the two modules lost connectivity. Reinserting just the one in the basement back into the 110 outlet solved the problem (temporarily). Again, all was fine for a couple of days when connectivity was again lost. Simply replugging the adapters into the 110 socket got connectivity going again. For a couple of days... I've again lost connectivity. Also I noticed one adapter had red light for connectivity(indicating it was connected) while the second adapter had green (indicating a good connection). Not sure why both adapters wouldn't have the same connection type since they are the only adapters running in my house. This gets three stars since just unplugging and plugging back in seems to resolve the issue (temporarily)

Works very well
Works well but I can't figure out how to use Windows app to see the devices/device name/ipaddress. I opened an incident a month ago and just have crickets. Funny thing. My TP-Link software can find them.

1/3 of max network speed achieved
Got fiber installed in the house. 150 down 150 up. ISP installer tech refused to route connection upstairs where my PC is. Setteled for the router being placed downstairs. Tried this adapter set as an alternative to running Ethernet cables through the inside or outside of the house or using WiFi.After receiving the set, the adapters refused to pair. After hours of furustration and trying multiple outlet configurations, finally got them to pair. Place one adapter down by the router and the second upstairs next to the PC. Got them to connect but the speeds left a lot to be desired. Tried every combination of outlet available downstairs and upstairs. Even unplugged every appliance to ensure that they where not causing noise on the line. The max speed achieved in my house was 40 down and 30 up with one bar of quality noted in the utility provided with the kit. This is less than 1/3 of my max speed if I was plugged directly into the router. It was worth a shot. I realize there are many variables to consider when using powerline adapters. Looks like this set didn't like how my home was wired.

Consistent signal
Follow the instructions correctly and after an initial setup and maybe a reconnection, I have had 3 of these ethernet adapters work for months on different circuits from my house power box - even when the light on the adapter goes red.

Great value & fast shipping.
Problem with setup. Technical help asked me to update to a different firmware but it didn't work. While waiting for call back, I setup the corresponding firmware and made it work. Follow up is good.

Great for basement rooms with low wifi connectivity
I bought this product because I had low wifi connectivity(<60%) in my room downstairs and there wasn't a way to move the modem (3 story house modem is on the main floor). I work from home and have a lot of video call meetings. I was finding that I was constantly lagging or dropping calls because my signal was so weak. I read some reviews and said this product was a solid option.I had some trouble setting it up. Wasn't a 'Plug and Play' but that could be just my house. I had to install the software (Trednet Powerline Utility) from their website, register both products, and run a scan while both devices were syncing.Once it connected it worked perfectly! It gives me the same speeds as if I was right beside the modem. It is important to mention my internet is on the lower end (40mb down 20 up) so I can't say anything about speed bottlenecking. There are a few connection drops here or there but that could be just my internet.Definitely would recommend for low connectivity parts of your house!
