I purchased the cleanser, conditioner, and gel. ALL of the products work. I have high porosity hair type which means my hair is perpetually dry because it does not hold moisture. I have read many of the reviews and found may comments related to the “thickness” Of the product, especially the conditioner and shampoo. The bottle clearly says to use the product with WATER. Water activates the product. Put in a few pumps of the cleanser then add water to work into the hair. You are not rinsing out the product but enabling the shampoo to be worked into the scalp and hair. Rinse completely, then add a2 or more pumps of conditioner to sections of the hair along with WATER. Water will give you the “slip” you need to work throughout each section. You will be able to feel the hair softening as you work it through each section then the entire head, once you have completed the application. Let the product sit For 5 or 10 minutes after you have covered and detangled your hair. RINSE thoroughly. Alternatively, you can leave some in the hair as a leave-in (most of the conditioner, about 90%, should be rinsed out). WATER IS THE KEY, to using these products. They are very concentrated and should last you a while. I’ve tried many products and have to say honestly that this is the best conditioner I have ever used. I am in no way affiliated with this brand or company. I happened to stumble upon this product while scrolling and stopped to check out reviews before I committed to buying. EXTREMELY HAPPY I DID.

This is my second purchase of this conditioner. My hairstylist friends noticed that my hair looks healthier and more defined! I appreciate that the new liter bottles have shrink wrapped pumps which meant my product arrived damage-free. Pros: Smells great, provides slip for finger detangling, and the right amount of moister for my curls. Works great with the NYC cleanser. Great curl definition w/o styling w/ gel Cons: None tbh. Any thing that I experienced that would have been considered a “con” was fixed once I figured out what works for my hair. See Tips. Tips: You might experience small white “flakes” if you use it as a leave-in and let it dry. It’s not super noticeable. For my hair, it meant that I left too much product in my hair.

Okay I’m obsessed. This conditioner is everything. It smells so good and it is SO hydrating...and the slip!!! Omg just a few passes through my hair and the tangles glided through. I love that this line is simple and the creator encourages that you only need his 3 products so I took his advice and left this conditioner in my hair as my leave in and holy definition and hydration! My hair feels so moisturized but not weighed down in the slightest. I have dry, coily, colored and heat damaged hair so it takes a lot to tame it...but I was so impressed. Everyone has been complimenting this wash and go and asking what I did different...just used these products!! They are pricey and I do think with this size of the bottles I will fly through them so I’ll have to invest in the big ones but it’s worth it because it gave me amazing results.

This review is long overdue. I used to get haircuts and advice from Carlos when I lived in NYC but after 2020 I moved away so was delighted to find the conditioner on amazon. This is a must have conditioner for curly hair. I use it for everything and could not live without it! Love my nyccurls!

Somehow the pump on both the cleanser and the conditioner are broken. I didn’t lose any product but it comes out strangely. I like how my hair and scalp feel though. I have smaller flakes just with the first wash. I didn’t use anything more than the cleanser and the conditioner and my hair is soft, shiny and curls are still popping.

so within my first year of my journey I've tried Shea Moisture, CURLS, Jessicurl, Not-Your-Mothers, Cantu, As I Am, Giovanni, and I've been using Devacurl OneCondition for 5 months or so with consistently good results. After trying this conditioner as a recommendation from Evan Jospeh's salon, I will not go back to any of the previously mentioned conditioners. This product emulsifys SO WELL, a little goes a long way. The scent is not my favorite, but WOW, the light weight, intense moisture is unreal. I like volume in my hair, but it seems that moisture & volume are not always friends. This conditioner proves me wrong, keeping my curls hydrated but not weighing them down! I love how it makes me hair feel, I love that I have used it three times and have so much left, and I love that it is under $20 for the most quality conditioner I've used. If your are in the market for a new leave in TRY THIS STUFF.

I’ve been using this product for about 5 years now and by far the best conditioner I’ve used. I occasionally buy another brand and quickly return because nothing compares. The only thing I recommend is to buy a small bottle and try it. Everyone’s hair is different and it depends on what feels right for you. I have “4c” Afro hair.

This conditioner works fine for my waves and I appreciate that it's water-soluble, but it's just not quite The One for me. I really dislike the scent and I sometimes feel itchy on my neck and chest (hard to say if it's from this conditioner or not). I'm going to keep searching.
