I own A LOT of cookbooks, and this is my favorite to date! Photography is beautiful. It is well written. Recipes are amazing and tons of helpful tips. Nick’s creativity is over the top and this book showcases that! A great gift for any baker in your life. Some of the recipes are dupes from what you can already find online from him, but still, this book is so pretty it is worth having a hard copy! And I like having a hard copy in the kitchen anyways so I don’t get my phone/laptop covered in flour.

Wife's review: This book has EVERYTHING you could want from the Scran Line's Master of Macarons! Gorgeous images, detailed instructions, and a surprising number of recipes! Was a bit frustrated that my book arrived with a crease in the cover (from it being crammed into the mailbox -- Amazon's & delivery person's fault, not the book's)...... BUT I plan to put many MORE creases in the cover as I try out these aaah-MAY-zing recipes!!! Just flipping through the pages, there are also some fun extras you won't find online. I look forward to exploring further!

It is put together nicely. It gives you recipes, step by step directions and pictures. I cannot wait to try these recipes! I already follow The Scran Line on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and I was so excited when it was announced that a book was being published. How can you not want all his awesome recipes? If you love to bake like I do I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed!!

i rarely leave a review (i mean, who has that kind of time???)- it either has to be really bad or really good, and i am happy to say this one is really GREAT!! i hadn't heard of this guy until this book popped up on a search, and i just received it so haven't actually made any of the recipes; however, even if i have to replace the cake with my own recipe (although these look good), the ideas in this book alone are worth it- it's just stunning!!! so creative and beautiful, i can not wait to get started!! the only thing i would say, most of the measurements are in weights, so i'll have to convert, but easy enough, and don't let that stop you, this book is fabulous!!!!

Beautiful photography and delicious recipes. These are things that can actually be made by an amateur baker at home, not just fantasy ideas for professionals. The author is a treasure and I hope he produces many more cookbooks for me to feast on

I love the scran line. While I've never made one of the recipes I've read on Pinterest, lG, etc they always look so good. I have many saved to try so I figured why not buy a book of their recipes. I am almost 50 and don't have many cookbooks simply because everything is online and it seems easier compared to having a ton of cookbooks all over. However, on a rare occasion I will buy one if there are so many recipes in the book I like that it's just easier to have them all in one place. I decided to give this book a go, but was really disappointed it was a used book. I know this simply because they couldn't even take out the bright yellow post it note someone stuck in there. Now I just flipped through the book and haven't noticed any writing or anything as of yet, BUT I also didn't go through it page by page yet. This was on sale when I bought it and I didn't click the option for other sellers so WHY I was sold a used book I'm unsure of. I've bought plenty of used books before, but I knew beforehand it was going to be used. So while I'm not happy about that part so far it does seem ok but I will update this if I find anything further wrong with it.

Compass book just a couple of days ago. The pictures are fantastic and the recipes seem wonderful. It is definitely a little more complex than a simple cupcake book, which is what makes it fun. That and it's not everyday you find a cupcake cookbook author write about RuPaul's Drag Race! Looking forward to giving these recipes to try. Lovely book!

This book is incredible, I have never been able to bake macarons (though I've tried a hundred times) Nick Makrides put in a cheat sheet for those cookies, and I can finally make them! Super creative flavor and decoration ideas, definitely a must have for every baker!

Couldn’t wait for this book to arrive after pre-ordering it as soon as it was available! It’s full of amazing recipes that I can’t wait to get started on! So fun and colourful as well which makes for a great read!

Great Recipe Book! Covers the basics and then uses those to create some wonderful things! Being able to watch the videos on YouTube is a God Send for an amateur baker 👨‍🍳
