A great not so new but still "New" band.
Probably my least favorite A Place to Bury Strangers album. See my review on Transfixiation to see a pretty much rave review. But I've been so transfixed with Transfixiation and their self named album in rotation that I really haven't listened much to Pinned to be fair and it could grow on me if I give it the attention that I probably will in a while. I guess this is their latest record, which makes me a bit wondery about the future of the band. But I have so far gotten several other of the bands albums and I like them very much. They have roots in Metal Machine Music, Slowdive, and My Bloody Valentine, though they are not "like" the later 2, nor the former album. It's just that they are very much what I'd call "new" music in the sense that they are innovative enough not to sound like any other band, which is a HUGE plus to me, and is what I think all bands should strive for, though oddly very few achieve it.

Great album by a Great Band!
Pinned is terrific. I think the band really pushed themselves to try new things with this album yet still sound like APTBS.I think Lia's drumming and Backing vocals really give this a new angle to their sound. Instead of being just as loud as possible the band I think tried to have more dynamics with this album. Oliver I think thought about the song as a whole and not how loud his guitar can be. Some songs he lets Dion and Liam shine. Dion's Bass playing is killer as always.Favorite tracks:Situation ChangesLook Me In The EyeWas it ElectricExecutionAct Your Age

Solid return, but Exploding Head may still be my favorite
Just picked this up after hearing they released a new one via a friend. This album picks up with (I think?) a new drummer, and they are still arguably the loudest shoegazer band out there. I still think Exploding Head is still their best record, but my mind may change. This is based purely on my first listen of the entire album.
