26 INCH SLIDING RAIL KIT FOR MOST RACKMOUNT CHASSIS Review: Perfect fit for Rosewill L4500U - This worked excellently for my Rosewill L4500U case. No fitment issues and no installation issues. The directions were clear and it went together on my first attempt. I left everything just a tad loose, pushed the server case in to make sure everything fit, and then tightened it all down. For those saying they needed to cut screws because they are too long and hit the rail, that is on them; they put the screws in the wrong way. Put the screw head on the inside and the nuts on the outside of the rails and there are no clearance issues. Review: Don't fit my type of rack - In my network room (aka my basement mechanical room with furnace, water softener, etc.) I have a "Sysrack 32U 4-post Open frame network/server rack" (https://www.desertcart.com/gp/product/B01C0SBJX6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which has an adjustable depth of 24"-37". I have my set to around 28" depth (I think). I received this sliding rail kit today to use with a Rosewill 4U Server case (model RSV-L4500U) (https://www.desertcart.com/gp/product/B01JBG0LW0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) , which is currently just sitting on a pair of "startech universal server rack rails" (https://www.desertcart.com/gp/product/B083N35SCZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). My hope was that I could use the sliding rails to not have to completely pull the server case out and carry to a table every time I needed to open it up as I tend to tinker with it fairly often. Plus I was hoping that some of the small vent holes that are designed into the bottom corners of the case wouldn't then also be blocked by the server rail/shelves. I spent almost an hour getting everything installed, partially due to the design of my server rack and the way I have it positioned in my network room. The L-brackets that connect to the four posts and hold the sliding rails, are supposed to mounted with the "rack ears" behind the post. The issue/incompatibility I have was that my four posts are "C-shaped" where there are two sets of mount positions on each post (see the link above for the rack where you can visualize. Therefore, when I attempted to connect the L-bracket to the behind the front set of mount points, the bracket wasn't square with the frame, which resulted in the horizontal distance being too narrow. So then I attempted to mount the L-brackets behind the back set of mounts points on each post, and then the brackets on the front and back posts were overlapping...I even tried to take that further and put the slide rails on and it was all wonky, but still then the issue was that the rails are so long that they were either protruding from the front or back side of the rack, and then there was still interference/too narrow to slide the server case into the rack. I had pushed the rails as far back as they would go, so that the front edges were inside of the front posts, front lip, and was able to get the case halfway into the rack, but then since the back of the rails were overlapping both back post lips, it was too narrow to fit further. (Apologies if that whole description is too confusing to understand). Ultimately, the only option that I think I have left to get this rail kit to work with my rack would be to disassemble and extend the depth as far as it would go to see if the sliding rails would fit between the back sides of the front and back posts...but in reality, I think it's unlikely that I will completely pull everything out of the rack and disassemble just for this reason alone, especially since there's no guarantee that it will work. On a positive note, I do believe that this rail set is compatible with the rosewill case, and it did arrive undamaged and seemed to be of nice build quality.

I suppose this is better than a set of universal rails, but not by much.
The M4 screws provided with this product are too long. Not only do they block the motion of the outer sliding rail (see video), they also prevent the separate inner rail from being able to fully retract. If you must get this product, be prepared to find some shorter screws. The screws in the box were 9.6mm in length; I bought some 6mm screws and everything works well now.
