Works fine
Worked as advertised for connecting my older digital video camera to the firewire board in my computer.

Dell laptop with 1394 port
Be careful with the small connector. Worked perfectly with old FireWire hard drives. Good value. A must if you have 1394 port. / Firewire 400 on your laptop.

Saved the day on a Seagate External Drive that lost USB connectivity yet has Firewire capability
For years had an legacy Seagate external drive that primarily was USB connected to back up one of my older PCs. Then a few years later, for whatever the reason, lost the ability for any PC to connect via USB. I thought that was it on being able to access all those years of transferred pictures and documents from this device. Then I noticed I have a Lenovo laptop with Firewire capability, checked with Amazon, which in turn directed me to this fine company, ordered and then received the cable in very short order, well packaged. I connected to the Lenovo, and Bingo!! I once again had access to all those years of information. Totally saved the day, so to speak.

Firewire?
I needed to get some digital video off of an old camcorder and the only way to do that was with a Firewire interface. It's a good thing that I have an old MacBook Pro laptop with Firewire ports. This cable connected with no issues and now I can transfer video from Digital 8 camcorder tapes to a computer.

The thing does what is supposed to!
I bought this for my Dell Studio 1737 laptop, and my Focusrite Scarlett firewire interface. It fits PERFECTLY snug. I saw at least one review stating that this cable was too big for their 1394 port. That was not the case for me. It took some lining-up, but it fit like a tailored glove, and you shouldn't have to force it except to slide it in when it lines up perfectly. Once got it hooked up I realized that my laptop port wasn't powered (I use a different firewire cable/port shape for my desktop PC.) so I had to find the mains adapter for my interface. I don't know if that is a limitation of that type of firewire cable (that it isn't able to power a device). Bottom line: it works perfectly, and I got what I paid for!

Worked great transferring Digital DV tapes from my old camera.
It's a firewire cord not much else to say other than it works, and I haven't had any problems with it. I have used it several times with no issues.
