Mustard, Old Style, 7.3 oz (Pack of 6)

I fell in love with this type of mustard many years ago when I picked one up at a health food store. I am SO happy that it's SO easy to order this particular brand - "Maille Old Style, from Amazon! If you've never tried the natural grain old style french style mustards you really should. The vinegarry mustard taste is there but it's not strong or biting-sour like a traditional yellow mustard is. It's mild. And the whole mustard seeds are crisp in a soft way and the way that they "pop" as you eat is a textural sensational delight. Don't know if that's good grammar I used to try to describe the experience of eating it but hey that's how it feels to me haha! I love it and it makes me feel like I'm eating a mustard that is more healthy than the ones that are mostly a liquid. I love using this mustard on all the things I normally would. But I tend to use it more creatively than I use traditional mustards. I eat a lot of hard boiled eggs for protein. I won't eat one without this mustard spread on the halves. It reminds me a little of a deviled egg without all the work and makes the egg more moist to eat and swallow. Sometimes those egg yolks can be dry when you hard boil eggs. I ordered this 6-pack this time so I don't run out. It's a better deal when you order 6. And I cannot do any better on price at a store..."IF" I can even find a store that carries it. I'm addicted to Maille Mustard, Old Style.

The first time I had a whole grain mustard was when I visited Poland and while I had liked mustard before, I became in love obsessed with it after the fact. I am a person that could easily eat a jar of pickles or olives and I was so surprised by the fact that I would eat spoonfuls of that mustard I had in Poland all by itself. I too have eaten spoonfuls of this product just by itself as well. Great Quality!

One of my favorite mustard brands and simply cannot beat the price here on Amazon (understanding pricing can be dynamic, but was an excellent deal when I purchased). Packaged well, all arrived in tact- no breakage or leakage.

I ran out of my imported french whole grain mustard and had to find a replacement. Trying to find a whole grain mustard can be hard depending on where you live. I eventually found this little jar of Maille at one of the fancier groceries...but it was so expensive for the tiny amount in the jar. So I hopped on Amazon and found this great 6 pack with a reasonable price. No real issues but when shipping 6 glass jars together...there probably should be some buffer material between each jar. Super happy none of mine broke. The package did seem to be factory direct so I imagine the seller can't really do much to fix the packaging issue.

I was exposed to this wonderful ambrosia almost by accident. I was traveling overseas and it was the only mustard at the little shop. After the first taste, I made sure I could find this stuff once I was back in the states. If it weren't available here, I'd have filled my suitcase with jars. The six bottles were delivered unbroken, with wadded paper in the box. No issues. Best. Mustard. Ever!

Great flavor and the texture is amazing! And I am a mustard lover! Literally pops in your mouth (some say like caviar, but I've never had caviar (did I spell that right?).

It is completely free of unpleasant ammonia smell!

So, like an idiot, I didn't open this immediately. I had a jar of this I was working my way through, so this sat. And sat. I'm on SSDI and my health issues were contributing to my putting this off. Welp, when I finally did open it, I saw that every lid was open, so that any liquid had drained out, leaving the seeds. It was long enough after it had been delivered that I didn't bother calling to see about a refund. I am poor and this was an expensive lesson. At some point I'll be able to go out and shop "in real life" again. Until then, I'm out of mustard!
