The second best graphic novel a have ever read after the Iliad
If you read Iliad then you must read this. The facial expression of Odysseus' wife was so real that you surely will feel for her. Though it will be better if Hinds depicts more about the Trojan horse. The sea, the islands, the struggle will make you fell like an adventure. Like the Iliad the bloodbath feels like so real that it never felt like I am reading a book. All but only Odysseus survived the journey. Even after the journey he had to undergo a lots of troubles to get rid of the suitors. We always say that in western culture when the husband leaves the wife always remarries. But this story proves it wrong. That's why I said you'll feel the pain of Penolpe after reading this. Thanks Garath, for such a wonderful work.

One of my favourite stories illustrated in a graphic novel format. The art is exceptional and the story speaks again in a way I never expected.

I was shocked after I flipped a few pages. There are many naked pictures and pornography. Definitely not appropriate for young kids or youth. Need to return immediately.

This graphic novel was a perfect way to introduce my five year old son to reading and ancient Greek myths. The pictures allowed him to visualise the story and therefore better understand the plot. He could associate the text easily with the correct character as the pictures aided his understanding and at the same time helping maintain his interest in the story. The graphic novel is lengthy so it represented good value for money and allowed the author to retell Homer's epic in a thorough way. The artwork was skillfully drawn, however it was a little bland. But this is a very minor negative of what was overall, an excellent purchase.
