SK1500-124 24 VOLT 1500 WATT HEAVY DUTY INDUSTRIAL GRADE HIGH SURGE MICROPROCESSOR CONTROLLED PURE SINE INVERTER

Works as advertised. I bought a used one and it works great. It has been used for almost 3 months daily with LED TV, cable modem, routers, laptops, Ipad, coffee maker with grinder and carpet cleaner .I turn it off at bed time. It runs barely warm. The cooling fan doesn't turn on unless the load is high. A great buy for the price.

I've had about a week to test it, and put it to real use, and I hope this will help others:Buzzing - I don't hear anything .. In fact because there were a lot of complaints, I have been paying attention, and I have not heard anything yetModel - I bought the one that was 1/2 the price, and it arrived without GFCI - So, I'm assuming that the difference, but I prefer it without them, because of an EVSE that I run from it, and it does not like GFCI's ...The unit looks very well built.Cables - I used 2 gauge wire for everything, and with 2 gauge you can go with 100 AMP fuse. I also added disconnect.The lugs that come with the inverter are 2 gauge, but you need to crimp them, otherwise it will be a challenge to get them in the plastic cover over the terminals, if you tap them.Batteries - 2 x 12 volt 115 AH Marine/Deep cycle---- testing/Use------The power is very clean. probably better than the grid. The unit is very quiet, and the fan won't even come on, unless you put over 200/300 watts of load on it ..I used 2 gauge wire, so I have not seen any voltage drop from batteries to the unit, even with 700 watts of load.I have tested multiple frig/freezers connected to it, and it works fine, even running almost 1000 watts of load, however, so far that the best I see from the surge... I have not been able to get it to go anywhere to it's claimed 3000 watts surge ... On the killawatt meter, when trying to run my gas dryer, it will hit about 1200 watts, and then the inverter will panic, and halt, were you have to power cycle it ... The dryer only uses about 500 watt running, so clearly, the motor surge is what kills the inverter....However, I can easily slowly add load to go over 1000 watts, so I think the problem is my batteries... @ 100 AH, I don't think they are capable of providing the power needed for the surge ... So, I'm not making any conclusions yet, as I will test when I add 2 more batteries, and see if the surge capability will go up ...Hope this helps, if you are thinking about buying it ..--- Update ---I added 2 more batteries for about 230 AH @ 24 volts ... Now I can start the dryer just fine, and have seen surges over 3000 watts start just fine ... So, if you need a high surge, you will need lots of batteries, but it seems to be able to handle it, as long as the voltage does not sag too low, which requires more batteries ... Capacitors may be a possibility, but batteries still cost less ....I still do not hear any buzzing, and have not smelled any strange smells ... Everything runs just fine, and it pretty quiet, till you have a sustained draw of over 150 to 200 watts to get the fans to start ...

After the inverter was delivered I hooked it up to brand new charged battery's, the inverter would not run much. I was thinking it was not set right from seller so I checked dip switches. S1 ,S2,S3 all were set in the right setting, but still would not run like it was advertised. I rechecked battery power , it was fine, the 24 inch cables that I used to hook the inverter up were larger than needed. I then put my meter on the inverter, power to unit great, frequency was right, dc terminals hooked up positive-positive, negative - negative, and all it would run was one light 9 watt . After I ran this 9 watt light for a short time it started flashing on and off. I then looked back into the manual what a joke, what I got from it was that the watt setting my have been to high for the inverter, lol....I then set it to a higher watt shut down , and it worked the small little 9 watt light stayed on wow.. All the money I spent to run one light, if I would of used the $260 to buy gas for my generator I could run my house with all lights and TVs for many, many power outages. Its now been a week from the time I had reported the problem to Amazon and seller, and still NO reply!!!!! I guess I will add this to my list, you get what you pay for.... So after all of this ,I'm thinking DONT BUY FROM THIS SELLER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!

Works great! LED house lights don't flicker, cooling fan is quiet when its running. On low loads the cooling fan doesn't even run. Very happy with the price and quality so far. As of this review had it three weeks.

GFI outlets did not come with my unit. it does buzz while in operation but not very loud. I wish it had a display of some kind to tell you load on the unit.

Great inverter, it runs everything including some power tools I've tried. I was worded about non-use load but was happy to learn it has an auto power save mode that kicks in and reduced the idle load to almost nill. I've been using for a few weeks, and very happy, but can't say I have used any of the other features such as remote operation.The vender was excellent to work with, quick shipping good packaging, reliable description of product

COTEK apparently no longer supports the SK series inverters.I could not find a user manual for the SK1500 on the support page of their website.
