It breaks ice for sure. It also cracks fish skulls in one quick and easy motion without any resistance. If you are an avid fisherman and intend to practice Ikejime then this product is for you! Very sturdy, very sharp, and the blade is long enough to even brain a Mahi Mahi no problem!

Appreciate the quality of the ice pick but it took weeks to get it.

Safe sturdy and attractive ice pick just the right length to break up ice without being too long. The sheath that covers the ice pick screws on for extra safety the handle is more comfortable than the round type handles I've used before. Would be a very nice housewarming gift to be displayed with a bar set.

My fiance loves this, I bought it for him for his mini fridge. The freezer sometimes fills with ice crystals and this works perfectly to chip through it. It's pretty neat that it looks like a cigar and it has good weight to it.
