The Best Dog Walking Boots.
Fabulous boots, bought at a bargain price on one of the prime deals. I wear these for dog walking, through wet and muddy fields, and they are amazing. Light, comfortable and waterproof, even walking through long wet grass. I did size up half a size, to wear with thick walking socks and they are perfect. Best walking boots ever.

perfect fit in half size, lightweight and waterproof
A little higher budget at £100 than I had planned for but worth every penny. Half size (5 1/2) has given me a beautiful fit. The combination of the laces up around front of ankle with the slight cut out at the back of ankle, have given me good support, without any discomfort or rub at the back of my ankles. Waterproof so far - puddles, plenty of wet muddy paths. Easier to clean than I expected one worry was pale grey and nubuck finish, but (as commented on another review) I sprayed with heavy duty protector when I got them and since all I do is let them dry and brush lightly with a suede brush.

Really impressed so far!
So far so good - I'm really pleased with these although haven't worn then for an extended period as yet. I ordered these on the evening of 23 December and they were with me by 3pm on Christmas Eve! You can't fault Prime for that. I read a fair few of the reviews on here and found them really helpful hence I'm writing this one to help others who like me might be worried about spending £75 on a pair of walking boots! However we want to climb Snowdon on New Year's Day so I needed better footwear than I currently have. I wore the boots around the house and then decided they fit well enough and took the tags off for our Christmas Day walk. I'm a size 7, wide-ish, and these fit perfectly. We were out for over an hour on mixed terrain and the grips were much better than on my Merrell walking shoes which aren't good on slippy surfaces like wet grass or rocks/steps. The soles are sturdy but flexible enough to enable a good feel for the terrain. The ankle support is good without feeling too rigid or rubbing. I didn't wear thick socks and didn't experience any rubbing at all on heels, toes or other usual pressure points when wearing in new footwear. This really was a pleasant surprise as I took an extra pair of socks just in case but didn't need them. Apparently I spent half of the walk exclaiming how pleased I was with my new boots! They got a bit of a soaking in muddy puddles but were not completely submerged so it remains to be seen just how waterproof they are. But they are certainly warm, supportive and comfortable.

Quality product, reasonably priced
I have always bought Berghaus walking boots since the first pair I got were far superior to any other mid range brand. Recently I had tried Merrells, same price bracket, but there was nothing I liked about them. They wore out extremely quickly(holes appeared in the crease where the toes bend), pressed on my wee toes and let water in disappointing immediately. Back to the tried and tested Berghaus, and all these problems are immediately solved, and no complaints. Comfortable, practical and as waterproof as expected for the very reasonable price for a quality product.

Comfy for a long walk right out of the box
Very comfortable and great foot-sole protection on stony ground. I bought a full size up from my street foot size, and this is perfect with thicker socks.

Quality Walking Boots.
Great walking boots!my last pair were also Berghaus they are still in not bad shape considering the miles of dog walking in rain mud & gale force winds👍

Super comfy boots
This is my second pair of Berghaus walking boots, the first lasted over 20 years. I love the navy colour and they are so comfortable that I wore them the whole day on the first time out. I bought a size up from my usual to allow for thick socks, but even wearing normal socks they felt secure. Personally I would have liked longer laces and the metal hooks are flattish, but now I'm being picky! I have no doubt they will be waterproof but not tested yet. Definitely waterproof, been through lots of puddles on dog walks and socks are perfectly dry.

Overrated boots, gave me massive blisters
I was on the lookout for a new pair of walking boots after my trusted and well worn Trespass ones started to fall apart. I came across Berghaus brand and by reading the fab reviews I decided to order a pair, I wish I didn’t. First time I wore the boots for less than an hour both of my hills ended up raw and bright red, skin rubbed away even though I was wearing anti-blister socks. After this I wasn’t able to put on sock or shoes for days!! I thought I give it a try the second time 3 weeks later, and yet again my hills were destroyed . I gave up on these horrible boots I will not use them ever again and I’d not recommend them at all. I’m going to contact Amazon and try to return them as there’s something very wrong with the boots

Si vos pieds sont fins, je pense qu'ils sont très confortable. Les miens sont larges et donc ils me serrent trop aux doigts de pieds.

I've had several pairs of Berghaus boots and have kept going back to this brand, but after wearing these for a 40 minute dog walk for the first time last night, I have weeping blisters on both heels from the nasty, stiff plastic heel reinforcements which have an unprotected sharp edge. I had actually forgotten, unfortunately, that I had this problem with my last pair of Berghaus boots when I first wore them, otherwise I would not have bought them again! Disappointing from such a reputable brand and they're not the cheapest! Unfortunately, but realistically, I will not be buying Berghaus boots again!
