Design Engineering 050113 Under Carpet Lite 70" x 72" Sound Absorption and Insulation (35 sq. ft.)

I used this in conjunction with Dynamat and dynapad in the interior of my (loud) Foxbody mustang. The overall result is less noise and vibration throughout the car.

I didn’t have a good pair of shears so it was a bit difficult to cut so I recommend a good set of shears. Otherwise it’s a good product that is pretty easy to install

I was using some regular carpet jute and it was pretty hard to lay down into place. Order this and it really made things easy. Install was a breeze it folds into place and easy to cut. It does a good job shaping to bends etc and is easy to cut. Would recommend.

I bought this to replace the padding in my Avalon after leaking from blocked sunroof drain ports. Instead of allowing Toyota to fix it for $7000, I cut the water soaked padding out, dried my rugs and replaced with this. Restored my Avalon to its sound proof state.

I put this stuff down over the top of some Noico 80mil sound deadening material before I installed mynew carpet on top of it and it is amazing. It has made my flooring in my car soft, plush and warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. It also was a nice addition to my sound deadening material and was the perfect finishing touch before I installed my new carpet.

Like the fack that’s not to thick to keep the original look, used it under the original rubber carpet of my van

Good product worked well under my carpet.

Product is light and OK for car roof sound deadening but does not seem sufficient for car floor pans sound proofing. Boom Mat sticky vibration damping pads were applied to both floor and roof. About 40% of the roof area and 80% of the floor area were covered with the vibration damping pads. Then, for the floor treatment, closed cell foam was applied on top of damping pads. Finally, as a third treatment, Boom mat Gray Under Carpet Lite was applied. From experience with the same type of treatment, mass loaded vinyl gave better results in sound deadening.
