Very pleased with this clever little gizmo!Two tips for other users, first do not keep rolling multiple times over your address or,weirdly, your address underneath will become more visible, just roll over once or maybe twice.Second if you refill, make sure you use OIL based ink, water or spirit based dries transparent & your details will be visible, & to refill use the small bulbs with needles at the end & stick into the center of the roller at either end,push through the tiny bit of sponge & squeeze the bulb

I'll be honest, it is a piece of plastic that probably cost pennies to produce but I paid £6 for. But it works very well and the first thing I did was to obliterate the address details on the parcel it arrived in. Any reduction in identity fraud risk is worth £6 I reluctantly have to conclude. I've knocked a star off for the inky fingers caused by removing and reinserting the ink unit to see how refills work. It is not difficult to insert the cartridge incorrectly which results in a mechanical fault and ink where it shouldn't be to try and fix the problem. Note the position of the ink cartridge precisely when replacing and reinsert exactly as it came out. Operation is simple. Press the button on the top to retract the guard and expose and lock the inked wheel. Roll it across the text to be obscured. Press the button on the top to retract the inked wheel and drop the guard across it. I've got a DIN 3 shredder but there are things like jiffy bags and so on you can't shred where this will be invaluable. No regrets, wish it was cheaper.

Initially I thought this product was brilliant. When you roll over it really does cover up all your info. So what most people would do then is put the envelope/packaging/letter in the bin thinking everything is concealed by the ink. What I realised is when the ink is wet it does stop you being able to read what is underneath, however once the ink has dried you can read the info again. So after just a few goes I have stopped using this at all.

Not very good at hiding printed names and addresses, tilt the paper slightly and you can still what you are trying to hide. I've tried rolling it in different directions over and over in the hope of covering everything up and that didn't work either. I resorted to using a pair of shredding scissors, much better at getting rid of things.

Once the ink from the roller dries the details it has been used to cover become totally legible again. I'm glad I didn't use the roller then bin any sensitive data because it would be 'out there' for anyone to see. I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase this ID Camouflage Roller. Back to shredding for me!

You have roll over it more then once, also please check it again by lifting the paper and looking at it from different angles sometimes you can still see the print. Some prints are very deep an no matter how many times you go over you can still see the information so not happy at all

Excellent. It does the job really well. As an aside - if you have noticed how in recent years even mid to high priced office shredding machines have increased the width of their shredding cut, meaning that, if you insert paper into a shredder with the print parallel to the cutters, the shredded strip can neatly contain a full line of readable print! (say, your name and address?) so making data-security more difficult just at a time when the reverse is needed.This small camouflage roller stamp is not designed for - and doesn't make any claims - in dealing with bulk erasure, but it is excellent at quickly blanking out a 26mm wide strip of text at one pass. This makes quick work of letterheads and address labels etc. One reviewer complains that it does not come with a cover. It does. You click the top and the cover slides back, revealing the inked roller. Click it again and it covers the roller. It's integral to the machine.The ink is a dense black and well up to the job, however, another reviewer notes that you can occasionally see the underlying text through the ink. In some circumstances this will always be true; if the text is either embossed or glossy then holding the paper at an angle that catches the light will reveal the difference in the paper's surface texture and thus the underlying text. Short of slapping on a coat of gloss paint, you are stuck with this problem, which is beyond the scope and price of this handy little devise. It's at this belt-and-braces moment that you need to call on the additional help of a shredder! I use and recommend both.

After we witnessed a few 'undesirables' going through our neighbours recyling bin looking for paperwork that contained the residents personal information we decided to buy a couple of these after they were reccomended by a friend. These only require one pass to mask your details and are great if you don't want to stick everything through a shredder. I've owned a couple for a few years and the ink pad is still going strong.My only gripe is that the last time I checked the price of a replacement ink pad this was more expensive than buying a new roller. I'm not sure I understand the justification for this pricing strategy and this will discourage people from re-using their rollers in favour for buying a new one.

Ich hab mir von dem Produkt deutlich mehr erhofft! Sobald die Tinte vom Stempel getrocknet ist, kann man die Adresse trotzdem ohne Probleme erkennen. Im Nassen zustand sieht man die Adresse hingegen nicht.Sehr schade.

Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und reibungslos.Der Rollstempel reicht für ca. 50 m. Danach kann man einfach die Rolle austauschen.Ich bekomme zuhause so viel Post bzw. auch Werbebriefe, Pakete, die ich nicht mit meiner Adresse versehen ins Altpapier werfen möchte.Dieser Rollstempel hat genau die Breite einer normalen Adresse. Er funktioniert einwandfrei, z.B. auf Pappkartonaufklebern von Amazon, normalem Brief- und Kopierpapier, Kontoauszügen.Der Hersteller hat genau angegeben, für welche Papier-/Materialarten es nicht empfohlen wird. Daher finde ich einige Bewertungen hier sehr unfair.Für meinen privaten Bedarf ist dieser Rollstempel vollkommen ausreichend.Ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen und vergebe meine volle Kaufempfehlung.

Ich gehe beruflich mit sehr persönlichen Daten um, so dass ich im Büro alles durch den Aktenvernichter jage. Zuhause habe ich so ein Teil nicht. Aber ich möchte nicht bei allen Sachen, dass sie lesbar ins Altpapier gehen. Das ist dann eine ganz schöne "Zerreißerei" der Blätter, damit die Inhalte nicht mehr lesbar sind. Jetzt gehe ich auf entsprechender Korrespondenz einfach mit dem Roller drüber und gut ist's. Ich würde mir das Teil wieder kaufen.

Buen diseño, muy útil y versatil. A mi me sirve sobretodo para tachar las etiquetas de los paquetes de amazon. Le pongo 2estrellas porque me ha FALLADO ENORMEMENTE ya que en algunos papeles por muchas veces que lo uses se sigue viendo la letra con la información que quieres borrar. Ich muss leider einer anderen Rezension recht geben, nach dem trocknen der Tinte, kann man trotzdem alles lesen. Zwar muss man das Blatt etwas gegen das Licht halten, aber trotzdem ist alles was man versucht zu verdecken, lesbar. Schade! Keine Alternative zum Schredder im geschäftlichen Bereich. Für privat geht es, daher 3 von 5 Sternen.

Habe ehrlichgesagt nicht allzuviel erwartet .... Lieferung kam prompt wie immer. Da ich der Typ "ich brauche keine Bedienungsanleitung" bin, habe ich einfach drauf los getestet und zwei/dreimal über die zu verdeckende Adresse gerollt .... Und dabei kam so eine dicke schicht Tinte drauf, dass man die Adresse lesen konnte da sie durchschimmerte ... Bravo, klar mein Fehler :) Als ich es dann so machte wie es sein sollte: 1x drüberrollen war ich vom Ergebnis asbolut positiv überrascht. Ich wusste ja was drunter geschrieben ist und konnte so mit Mühe einzelne Buchstaben entziffern. Okay, aber nur weil ich wusste, dass dort der Buchstabe X sein muss. Aber für jemanden der nicht weiss was darunter steht ist es wohl nicht (oder nur mit extrem viel Aufwand etc.) möglich, etwas komplett entziffern. Das ein Geheimdienst dies wohl schaffen würde bezweifle ich nicht. Aber damit nicht gerde jeder in der Papiersammlung meine Adresse etc. hat, reicht es absolut! Daher kann ich es für den "Normalgeraucht" empfehlen.

Mit einmal drüberfahren kann man noch alles lesen mit etwas Konzentration. Wenn man den Zettel gegen die Sonne haltet sieht man alles sehr gut.

Der Camouflage Rollstempel überdeckt die Informationen nicht zu 100%.Aber das brauche ich nicht.Ich versende öfters mal ein Paket und entdecke beim zukleben einen alten Strichcode oder eine alte Adresse.Bisher musste ich den Aufkleber immer mühsam abreissen.Das ist jetzt vorbei, einmal mit dem Rollstempel drüber und schon ist alles für den Scanner unlesbar.Das klappt auf Papier besser als auf Folie.So vermeide ich auch das ein alter Code gescannt wird und das Paket fehlgeleitet wird.

Druckbild nach der Lieferung in kräftigem schwarz, somit wurde bei der Tinte nicht gespart.Somit funktioniert der Datenschutz damit sehr gut und vor allem äußerst einfach, eine mechanische Vernichtung vertraulicher Sachen mit einem Aktenvernichter ist natürlich wesentlich sicherer, aber das ist wohl jedem Anwender klar.Eine Kaufempfehlung kann ich aus meiner Sicht jedenfalls abgeben und würde den Rollstempel bei weiterem Bedarf wieder kaufen.

Sollten entsprechende Dokumente also wirklich in falsche Hände fallen, lenkt man erst Recht die Aufmerksamkeit auf die sensiblen Daten.Das Produkt ist damit für den beworbenen Verwendungszweck NICHT geeignet.Einziger Grund, warum der Artikel nicht zurück geht:Ein anderer Rezensent empfahl die Verwendung des Rollers um Barcodes unleserlich zu machen (anstatt z. B. bei Retouren den alten Adressaufkleber entfernen zu müssen), dafür werde ich ihn auch einsetzen.

Hatte mir mehr versprochen. Leider deckt der Stempel zB Versandetiketten von alten Paketen usw nicht richtig ab. Da ist ein schwarzer Edding sinnvoller.

Bisher habe ich immer die Aufkleber von Sendungen oder sensible Informationen in Schreiben durch den eigenen Shredder gejagt. Aber wenn man Unmengen an postalischen Sendungen bekommet, ist der eigene Shredder wöchentlich in Benutzung. Sowohl Zeitaufwand als auch der Dreck durch das zerkleinerte Papier sind keine angenehmen Dinge.Mit dem Datenschutz Rollstempel ist das nun alles einfacher geworden - relevante Stelle ein bis zwei Mal mit dem Stapel überfahren und die entsprechende Stelle ist nicht mehr lesbar. Adressen, Kundennummern oder sonstige sensible Informationen sind damit sicher unkenntlich gemacht. Nach der Nutzung durch drücken der Oberseite einfach wieder die Schutzkappe über das Stempelkissen fahren und bis zu nächsten Nutzung sicher verwahren.An dieser Stelle hat es jeder einzelne in der Hand, seine sensiblen Daten zu schützen. Und das auf einfachste Weise...

Habe den Plus Japan IS-500CM-IS-007CM Datenschutz Textschwärzer ausprobiert, leider ist auch nach dem schwärzen die Schrift immer noch lesbar, auch nach mehrmaligen rechts und links, oben und unten, immer war die Schrift lesbar.Die Textschwärzer funktioniert nicht.

Klingt nach einer super Sache...ersetzt aber leider keinen Aktenvernichter weil es nicht auf allen Oberflächen hält und teilweise dennoch erkennbar/lesbar ist.Es dauert auch teilweise eine ganze Weile bis es ganz getrocknet ist.Ich verwende (wieder) einen klassischen Aktenvernichter und bin sehr zufrieden.
