I'm an adult who uses this for relief from severe skin chewing disorder related to PTSD.Durability 4/5, Design 5/5, Safety 5/5♡Durability: I have chewed on it from low to hard bite strength over 15 hours accumilatively thus far and have noticed very little impact on the silicone beyond the scuffed Mark's where teeth bit and grinded. The cord is very strong and the safety strap is strong enough to hold it's own while being worn while also snapping off when it poses a snag danger. Chewing on the tip and side nubs have not resulted in bits coming off which is a good plus if you're buying for smaller children!○Design: Very smooth feeling, no rough edges leftover from the mold process, and its discreet enough to look like a necklace someone would wear. The ribbed edges are just thick enough to hold their own against chomps and the product is thick enough for good durability. The product does not carry any noticable odor that other silicone products tend to have which is a huge bonus!◇Safety: I played around with it in ever corner of my mouth and noticed no rough edges or rough detailing, its smooth and poses no chaffing or cutting risk. The safety strap is great and easy to clean, I just throw it in the wash after removing the shark tooth when it smells a bit like stale spit.Overall I highly reccomend this as a chewing therapy toy for any condition, it's easy to store, easy to clean, and its soft enough not to break your jaw while chewing it, but firm enough not to break into hazardous bits while in use.

My 9 year old child with ADHD loves the shape and texture of this chewy necklace, but she managed to chew the tip right off after only two school days worth of wear. I would not suggest this for heavy chewers.

My son has been chewing on his shirt and this helps in the fact he can chew this instead.

I'm 34 years old and autistic. I got this necklace when I learned about chew necklaces being helpful for autistic people. It's been awesome for relieving stress (we autistic folk call it "stimming", it's short for "self-stimulatory behavior" and it helps us with emotion regulation). Having this chew necklace handy for long commutes and intense software coding/debugging sessions at work has saved my poor lips that I had been chewing to bits for years. Sure, I chewed through this necklace in 2 months, but considering that I'm a fully-grown person with a strong bite, I think that's reasonable. I'm still using it even though it's got a crack in it now, but I'll order another one shortly. It's well worth the money for me, since it helps keep me calm and focused while driving or at work.
