probably should have went another direction. this is not a professional chef knife, its a home kitchen chef knife. i work in a kitchen and could not use this knife very long. you get what you pay for.... wish it were better described though.

As soon as the knife was washed, rust spots developed on the metal blade. It appeared to be cheaply made.

This 8-Inch Blade is absolutely amazing. I just recently moved into a new apartment and lost all of my cooking ware. I found this Knife on Amazon for an amazing price. Upon arrival I used it for my first home cooked meal in my new home. I was shocked! The quality of the blade was fantastic. Knowing the purchase came with a Knife Sharpener as well, I was more than satisfied. I will no longer need to borrow friends and family utilities while getting settled in. My first steak meal was a success, and the fat and extra dead meat was able to come off extremely easy due to this Chef Knife! THIS THING ROCKS!
