Barkworthies - Natural Elk Antler Extra Large

My puppy really loves these antler chews. It took six months to chew through her first one, but she never lost interest. And I like that it doesn't have a smell (like the bully sticks). She doesn't chew on it for longer than about 10-15 minutes at a time, but she gnaws on it so fiercely that it completely tires her out. The medium is a good size for her - the first one was about 5 inches long and from 1/2 inch to 1 inch in diameter; the second one was the same length, but thicker (about 1-1/2"). Note that there is only one antler per order, but it's a great bargain as long as they last!

I have bought 2 other antlers in the past from this company. It was a great size for my mastiff and I always ordered medium. I reordered and almost missed it in the box. It was so tiny that it is a choking hassard for my dog which I don’t understand because I literally pressed the button buy again. And made sure I ordered the same size as the last few times. Such a disappointment.

I noticed some reviews with people complaining about the price. $8 for an elk antler this large, non-bleached, is a fantastic deal. You won't find that price at Pet Supplies Plus, where I usually buy my (deer) antlers at $6 for a teeny tiny one.I also saw some people saying their dog - used to getting deer antler instead of elk - wasn't interested in this one. I was worried about that, but my Chihuahua/Toy Fox Terrier mix could not be happier right now and has fallen asleep cuddling this monster of an antler after a solid hour of chewing! He's still a puppy, so his energy level is outrageous along with his chewing habits, but this thing is so big it's going to last a long time.Of course, with a natural product like this, shape will vary. I uploaded images of my dog enjoying the product to give everyone an idea of what they may get.ETA: Fast delivery - arrived the next day instead of two days.

Disappointed on this second round of antlers. Purchased first back in July and the product was great, lasted forever. Bought the same thing is month and the antlers were MUCH softer. My dogs chewed them down to half way in one day. Will definitely look around for different ones next time.

After our rescue dog destroyed her first (and so far only) shoe, I went through a lot of bones and treats trying to find the best thing to satisfy her chewing needs. Rawhides were a bust - the dog didn't like them enough to chew them up but seemed to feel they had enough value to need to bury them out in the backyard. After I realized that she liked them better after a couple of weeks in the dirt, I stopped giving them to her, because that was NOT going to happen. Nylabones were a better success, but eventually they'd get pretty gross once dirt and toy fluff gets all into the chewed up rough spots.This antler is, so far, the best solution I've found. It's not smelly and doesn't get soggy like rawhides. The dog LOVES it and went for it immediately. She's had it a little over a week and has so far chewed about half an inch off of the wider end of the antler. I didn't measure it before giving it to her, so I don't know the exact dimensions, but honestly it's pretty much the size I expected, based on the product photo. The end that she chews on has gotten a bit rough, but doesn't seem to trap the dirt in the way that the plastic bones do, and the rest of the antler is smooth so it stays pretty clean. She's buried it in the yard on multiple occasions, but she always brings it in again. When she was sitting next to me and chewing, I noticed that little crumbs of it would break off, but they're much smaller than the hunks of plastic she used to chew off her Nylabones, and it's natural so I feel better about her eating them.

My dog is a corgi, which is not a large dog, but this antler is too small for him. I'm afraid he could choke on it. Perhaps it is my fault for ordering a size for a smaller dog, but I would have appreciated the seller giving some sort of size guide. They did tell me what size the antler was, but I think they should say something like "ideal for toy breeds." I have purchased other products from Barkworthies and had no problem at all, so I'm chalking this one up to my mistake.

I absolutely LOVE giving my two Labrador Retrievers elk antlers... They are the only chew that I have found that actually works and is not destroyed within a day or two! I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw that these two antlers were for $28! I bought them immediately. They arrived early this week, and upon opening the box - there was only one of them. The picture has has been shown, is showing two of them (same size but different color/shape). I am confused as to how many I should have gotten. I kind of feel led on, even though $28 isn't bad for an "X-Large Elk Antler". My husband also measured this antler to be approximately the tip of the middle finger to the bottom on the hand. Maybe I have just been spoiled, but to me that does not constitute as an "X-Large Antler." Regardless - I am very happy at how excited my puppies get, will continue to buy antlers, but may have to do a little more research.

I bought this product because my sister had a mixed breed puppy that was chewing on anything and everything. Nothing she did worked to break the puppy from destroying whatever was available, even if it was the corners on the baseboards. I decided to buy the product to see if it would help after I read the many positive reviews. The fact that it was priced far lower than a lot of other brands was also a deciding factor for me. My sister says it's been amazing. The puppy now rarely chews on anything but the antler. Since I ordered two of the antlers, even her 5 year old toy poodle likes to chew on one of them.I'm so grateful that I ordered these as it's made my sister's life so much easier. Thank you! I'll be ordering more in the future, if these ever wear out :)
