Kryptoflex 1218 Key Cable Bicycle Lock Bike Lock

I liked the fact that it will keep my bike locked up and that it has a lifetime guarantee.But what I don't like is the fact that when trying to register the product with Kryptonite that their site will not even allow me to complete the registration process. Plus I have been unable to find a way to actually contact them regarding this issue through their site. I need to contact them regarding the previous Kryptonite lock that I had purchased because I am having issues with it and if it has a lifetime guarantee then I need to have them resolve the issue of their product. I need to know how to contact them.

I won't lose this lock going over a bump like i did with a previous one I used. It attaches to the bike very securely.Locking mechanism seems pretty well made

I love that this bicycle lock has its own mounting system to attach to the frame of my bicycle for easy storage and use. It is sturdy, a very good length, and I like the ease of a key lock. If you register your lock, they have a lost key program so that if you ever lose yours, they will know what lock you have and send you a new set.I did find that it is easy to pinch a finger or the skin on your hand in the lock when you are closing it, so just be a bit careful.I am certain this cable will not hold up to a pair of bolt cutters, but then again, I only need it for local rides around my neighborhood, and I am not too worried about someone putting in that much effort to steal my bike.

I bought the 6 foot version of this lock so I could loop it through both wheels of one bike and then to a bike rack, pole,etc.. If my wife and I ride together I can loop it through the frames and one wheel of each bike and then to a rack.Like all locks of this type it will keep a casual thief away, but if someone has a large set of bolt cutters or an angle grinder they will take your bike.For a short term situation in populated areas I think it is a good lock, but I wouldn't leave my bike overnight or in a remote location with just this lock.The lock bracket installed easily and holds the lock on the bike well.Amazon Prime shipping was excellent as usual.

Here is the bottom line me being in a law enforcement field.............if someone wants something bad enough they will find a way to get it! This lock keeps two people from taking your stuff--The honest &-The lazy crook/thiefI just bought this unit but have had one for years on my bike rack for when I travel with my bikes. It has never been attempted nor anyone ever broken it. Heck, they probably look at the massive 12mm cable and think this one I will pass along on. Now that is not saying if you parked somewhere remote or in a high crime area for long enough the right thief having a bolt cutter could kill this in seconds and be off with your goods.It just keeps the lazy at bay and honest folks honest. I sold my bike rack currently have for a upgrade and the buyer wanted the lock too..............so I just simply replaced it here on Amazon.So if your looking to find something affordable; robust; and a deterrent then this lock is the ticket. Then again..........just sit by your investment with a tiger!

I got this primarily because I wanted a good, solid lock and felt it would be more compact and manageable than a rigid U type lock. It certainly is sturdy. The mechanism works well. But, it actually takes up a lot of room and is not very manageable because the cable is very stiff. I was hoping I would be able to use a bottle holder in one designated spot on the frame and this look on the other. Not possible on my Giant CoMax 1. I think the rigid U type lock would have been a better choice. Of course, the cable does allow for more flexible locking locations.

I love this lock! I think it's kind of pointless to get too hung up on if it can be cut through.Of course it can. It's a cable!I've had this lock for a couple of years and I consider it one of my better purchases.The quality is great. The length is really greatThe diameter of the cable is very good and totally acceptable to me.Anything can be stolen. Heck, they could steal my car with all three bikes on it!We mostly use it for the three bikes on our bike rack for camping trips etc. I also use it at the campsite to lock all three bikes around a large tree. I know, I know... they could always cut down the tree. ; )

Got this as a second lock for my bike to keep the thieves from snatching my tires and to make my bike less appealing to steal. This thing is totally badass. It's long enough to secure both my tires and go around the pole/bike rack. Love that it can be mounted to the frame. The cable itself is much thicker than I expected it to be. Highly doubt anyone's going to bother trying to steal my bike coupled with the U Lock.

Easy to use, nice a long (can fit around two wheels and the frame), and seems pretty tough. I also like the fact that it uses a key so I don't have to memorize a combination.

When I first got this lock, attaching the mount to my bike frame was slightly confusing. I had to read the instructions several times, while wondering how on earth it would stay on the frame. I needn't have worried, as the mount is stable as a rock and hasn't moved of it's accord.Unlike other brands of locks that I have reviewed, this mount holds the lock in place with plenty of surface area for the lock to sit into. I am not even slightly concerned about the lock coming away from the mount. This mounting system could be educational to other brands and manufacturers of locks.

Me encanto . Si es verdad que es un poco grande ya que la mia es la correa mas larga . Pero esta marca piensa en todo ya que viene preparada por si la quieres acoplar a la bici. Me parece un muy buen material y muy buenos acabados. Ademas puedo sacar la llave antes de cerrar el candado cosa que me parece practica ya que hay otros que no lo permiten y tienes que estar con las llaves de por medio cuando solo deseas bloquear el candado una vez bien sujeto en tu bici. Estoy muy contento y les doy la maxima puntuacion. Lei alguna critica acerca de su durabilidad de la llave. Yo por el momento la veo bastante aceptable y robusta. Espero disfrutarla mucho.
