Muc-Off Bio Drivetrain Cleaner | Effective Biodegradable Bicycle Chain Cleaner and Degreaser Spray | Suitable for All Types of Bike

This is a great addition to the regular Muc-Off cleaner I use to clean my MTB frame/wheels. It’s easy to apply and does a great job of getting mud and other debris off the cassette, chain and crank. I apply it, agitate with a brush and hose off for a squeaky clean result. I’ve recommended to my biking friends and those who’ve tried it agree with me. I use it after most dirt rides and it only requires 3-4 squirts so hopefully it will last well and prove good value for money.

Excellent cleaner- sprayed chain cassette and all drivetrain components thoroughly- let sit for a couple minutes then light brush and rinse. Grease road gunk all done and chain was super quiet after👌

Muc Off Bio Drivetrain Cleaner is completely effective for cleaning your chain, cassette and chain ring. However, be aware that this product may harm the paint and/or any anodized surfaces on your bike. I read another reviewer's comments stating that the paint on his bike frame had been left with a dull finish. So, I decided to use Dawn dishwashing solution first. The Dawn removed some of the greasy buildup, but was not up to the task. So, I decided to carefully use this product. I used water to wet down my bike before carefully spraying the drivetrain cleaner. I was very surprised by the results. Using a soft bristle brush and a little agitation, my chain and cassette looked like new. This stuff works! I then thoroughly rinsed the components and washed the frame with Muc Off bike cleaner (the pink stuff). Last, I used my air compressor to blow off all excess water then wiped down my bike with a microfiber cloth. It wasn't until I got the the rear wheel that I discovered that the chain side of my rear alloy wheel (black, Bontrager Paradigm Comp 25) had small spots where it seems the black anodized finish had been damaged by the cleaner. The other side of the wheel has none of these spots. Thankfully, the painted finish of my frame is fine. I tried removing the spots using isopropyl alcohol, car polish and Dawn but none of these products removed the spots. It's almost as if the spots have been etched by the cleaner. My advice is use with extreme care. Cover anything that you do not want to possibly get damaged. Consider removing the chain and cleaning it off the bike. Also remove the rear wheel, and clean the cassette carefully. I will continue to use this product until if find a less caustic cleaner that is as effective.
