I've had my eyes on this Tri-Short for a while. On paper, everything looked promising, a decent tri short at a fair price, with decent reviews. So, I jumped at the opportunity when I saw them on sale recently.Boy was I disappointed. The chamois pad, the little cushion in the short, looks robust. At first glance I thought something didn't look right. Tri Shorts, traditionally have a very minimalistic chamois, sometimes it's little more than a fleece layer. Road Cycling shorts on the other hand have large thicker chamois... These SLS3 had a chamois that was somewhere in the middle. The chamois looked odd, and I became skeptical of the short's capability. The sizing chart was correct, 33 inch waist fit in the M. Being that I was on the high end of the medium scale I was expecting a bit of a snug fit. Not so, the M felt loose. Or perhaps more accurately these shorts have almost no compression qualities, which is why they felt loose. As for fit. The Legs are fine, as is the waist. However, during a 56 mile training ride I noticed unusual material sag along the hip line. Very weird looking, legs were fine, waist was fine, hips looked saggy. As for comfort... TERRIBLE!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AVOID THESE!!! In all seriousness, at first these shorts felt great. But after about 20 miles they started to get a little uncomfortable. The discomfort increasingly progressed and by mile 56 I was ready to rip the shorts off. The chamois/hip sag combo made for a very uncomfortable tri short. If you are looking at these shorts, I am sure the price got your attention. But you definitely get what you pay for. Would I use these for a Sprint triathlon? NO. Olympic? NO 70.3? NO 140.6? NO WAY!!! In other words these shorts are pretty much only good for the turbo trainer and peleton sessions.Save you money and buy better brand shorts. When i first started racing I made the mistake of going for cheap. I know, triathlon is very expensive. Guess what happened? all the money saving cheap gear ended up not lasting, and I had to replace it. So, lesson learned, buy good and buy once. Pearl Izumi makes goos tri shorts.Happy racing.

Great shorts for the price
A well designed tri short. Used a half dozen times so far for brick workouts, no issues. Longest ride so far was 40k

Did a half ironman in these. Perfect amount of padding and compression. No problems or chafing. Transition times were the best ive had, looking forward to using more in the future.
