Best meter for field troubleshooting.
I got this meter to replace a Fluke 101 in my service bag. With most meters it feels like you need three hands to use them. Magnetic straps only go so far, especially when tracing circuit issues in the field.I love this meter for the large display and simple, two handed operation. It is just as accurate as my Fluke, but far more pleasant to use. I am a licensed electrician and fire alarm technician, and this meter will always have a place in my service bag.

It works
The accuracy is good compared with my fluke-and for the price, it’s great.There’s nothing wrong with it but I don’t tend to use it because some things just bug me about it. It will be a good spare meter.The button placement and layout is annoying. For instance, to check continuity, slide to the ohms position, click the button in the middle two or three times. Voltage defaults to DC. Takes a good second or so for the meter to settle down and get a stable reading.

Good budget meter
Great as a temporary meter. Works well. Mine broke, and the button is hard to maneuver. But how the positive is on the actual meter is nice. And it broke because I put it in a. Bag too small for it.

This little unit is a good middle ground between my big, do-it-all multimeter and a simple glow-type continuity tester. It fits better in my electrical tool belt than the big one, but gives lots of the little details that are nice to know while doing even simple jobs (outlet swaps, switch changes, fixture replacements, etc.).

Defective
At first the battries were dead, so i changed AAA batteries. Then when i tried to read power on a 110V circuit reading would not stabilize between 56V and 235V ??????? Tried many times. The same.
