Laljee Godhoo Hing (Asafoetida) 50gms

I use this asafoetida in almost all my Indian cooking and it has become an essential spice in my kitchen. The aroma is strong and pungent when raw but transforms into a rich, savory flavor once cooked, enhancing dals, curries, and tempering perfectly. The quality of this brand is excellent. Doesn't smell like onions or garlic to me, it smells like blossoms from a curry tree (Bergera koenigii)

Love this stuff. It makes all the difference when making lemon rice. It does have a strong smell and taste….so a little goes a long way. I also store it in a bag and store the bag in a jar. However, this is magic when it’s needed. Soooooo good. Highly recommended.

This is 100% asafoetida, if know anything about this herb. smells fresh, I have purchase this before from a near by international store. It last a little over a year. Once the smell is gone, it time to re-purchase. Yes I will buy this produce again, but this time from a black own business contributor.

My kitchen has never smelled worse. I knew this was an intense spice but I put inside two plastic bags in a bottom drawer and my kitchen still freaked. They need a more sealed packaging.
