uber good utility gizmo
Have my usb2.0 version of this since maybe 10yrs or more, bought a USB 3 version some years ago as RAW images took time to transfer.This one has been purchased as a gift for a friend.All these units since the first day I used have never ever let me down. They have read all cards I've thrown in, given me great speeds and stability. Never a data error problem or a connection problem.Cannot recommend enough especially in today's time where we use memory cards in so many daily gizmos of our lives.Always good to have one of these standby in the drawerThank you Transcend !!! truly

We have tried numerous card readers in the past. I have one of these that has been working nicely (trust wood) for years. When we needed a second, this was the only one I would trust.

Cable problem
The actual item itself is ok and works with the cards I use. However, the cable that came with it did not fit, it had standard USB connectors but the box itself has a non-standard connection on the box. Luckily I had a cable with this fitting on another device otherwise it would have caused me serious problems.

Been looking for a portable, removable cables hub for a long time to mount to my desk and this fits all the requirements.It’s an amazing size and supports all the card types I have. Does feel plasticy and the gloss black can be become very scratched but so far the functionality of it has not had any faults.Would recommend if it fits all your requirements.

Works well and looks good
This has been working well for many years now, for both SD and CompactFlash on an old 2010 Mac mini. No driver required, just plug and use. Inserting an SD and CF cards shows two drives, it just works.And the design is really nice and modern unlike a lot of card readers out there.
