SneakERASERS Instant Sneaker Cleaner Sponge, Effective Shoe Cleaning for White Sneakers, Tennis Shoes -

I tried my first pair of slip-on sneakers and became an instant fan. I washed them in the washing machine as recommended by the manufacturer. I was disappointed that the white side edge of the shoes were not nearly as clean as I had hoped. One of my daughters gave me one of her SneakERASE sponges and it worked quite well, was fast and easy to use and not at all messy. I ordered a box for myself and a box for my daughter as a thank you for the product recommendation.

The Mr Clean magic erasers are fine, but they fall apart too easily. These are much more durable when you’re cleaning and do a great job on the soles of shoes.

So, first and foremost - these do work. Which is great - glad to have found a solution to a long-term problem. However, they disintegrate really quickly - such that it took two of them to clean one shoe. So, the 3-pack I purchased didn't go very far. Clearly the makers know that they are likely to get flack about that, considering that on the package they very prominently point out that they "naturally disintegrate during use". But they probably should sell them in much larger packs, and a bit more economical.

I had my suspicions just by looking at these little guys before purchasing that they were essentially fancy, compact rebranded versions of Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, which I’ve been using to clean my sneakers for a few years. When I received and started using them, my suspicions were confirmed. They work well on white sneaker soles such as Converse and Nike, but so do Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. The “Powerful Micro-scrubbers” disappear after the first use if you’re applying any kind of pressure, so I don’t see the point (other than marketing) if you wind up getting a second use out of it. I suppose you can get 2 or 3 uses out of these depending on how dirty your shoe is and how hard you must scrub, but just like Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, they break up and fall apart right away as you use them. They do say the smoother the sole, the longer it lasts, though. I think you see where this is going. A 3-pack of these little guys, which aren’t particularly easy to hold and scrub with if you have thick, meaty hands, goes for about $10 on Amazon. A 10-pack of Extra Durable Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (and do get the Extra Durable kind) goes for about $13 ($10 with a coupon at the time I’m writing this). You can cut those in half and have 20 smaller erasers perfect for shoe cleaning with about the same odds for reuse. I haven’t researched this, but I’m sure that just like Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, SneakErasers also release microplastics into the environment as they break down, if you’re concerned about that sort of thing. If you are even a little, then you’re once again better off with the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers since they seem more efficient.

This worked so well! One thing is, the description here doesn't say everything- the white part kind of disintegrates as you use it. However, that's pretty clearly written on the packaging itself, so it wasn't a surprise. What was a little inconvenient was that the little pieces of the white sponge part that were left fell off all over the area I was working on, so I suggest putting a paper towel underneath your shoe as you work on it. I cleaned four pretty dirty pairs of shoes with two of these and although I ran out of the white sponge part for the fourth pair of sneakers, the orange part by itself did a great job too. I think it's a little pricey for something that can each clean about two pairs of shoes, but I would buy them again for the ease and effectiveness of the product!!

In all the hundreds if not thousands of purchases I have made via Amazon---this was probably the biggest waste of money for a product that really doesn't do what it claims to do. You'd be better off with a bottle of Formula 409 and a toothbrush than wasting your money on this absolutely almost ineffective product. I really want to say "if you have read this and still don't believe me here's my home phone number and call me at ANY hour of the day or night and let me talk you out of wasting one cent on these useless overpriced and ineffective "SneakERASERS." Seriously----very seriously---don't waste your money buying these. Don't even think about it.

Great product. Super easy to use. I was able to use the same eraser on 3 pairs of shoes. Cleans super well; even on certain mesh parts.

I was able to use one of the three sponges for all four of my tennis shoes. I washed them all in the washer first, so what's left on the tread is after a full wash cycle. I used the sponge and elbow grease for less than ten minutes and you can SEE the difference. This particular pair of shoes is two years old and this was the first time I've ever washed them or cleaned them in any way and it was after a fishing trip where they got flooded in the boat and just absolutely filthy. The sponge has the tread looking almost brand new! I'm so impressed!! I've recommended them to everyone I know because they work so well and they don't have any kind of scent or anything to them. I'm a believer in the sneaker eraser!

It works ok, not as I expected.

Waited a long time for this to arrive in Adelaide but it was worth it. This works very well. And now my friends are ordering it too!
