Works great and great price!
Works great! I even found a 77mm adapter ring from an old filter kit and it fit as well! Of course it will block some of the front element, but nice to know the rings are fairly universal. I can now walk around with my macro lens, extension tubes, etc. and can light the bugs and flowers without needing someone to hold flash heads for me. I do suggest getting an external battery pack to carry with you. Four AA batteries just won't hold up. They are still needed to power the controls, but a good power source is a must. I keep a Godox PB960 clipped to my belt and have a Y-cable joining both ports to the flash. Recycle time is almost instantaneous. I do have to be careful though. I have already overheated this thing a couple of times with that much power. If you are into macro, you will like the value of this flash.

Worked straight out of box (with addition of batteries) and results amazed me
Packaged well. Instructions OK. Added to a Canon 100 Macro so needed the bigger ring to attach. tested it around the garden, and indoors. Worked perfectly. Nicest part is the flash up close to subject meant the background is black or underexposed while the subject is well lit. The ability to turn off either half of the ring flash helps with providing some directional lighting. Now playing with a home made gobo to accentuate the directional light aspect. Definitely worth the money

excelente

I’m happy with my purchase.
I’ve had it for a couple days. It works great. Reading the reviews on this, I was prepared to shore up the battery door with duct tape, but it seems sturdy. Maybe they’ve redesigned it. I don’t have anything bad to say about this product, and the price $100ish is very nice.

Surprisingly good for the price! I would recommend if you don't plan on shooting with it daily.
I'm a part time professional photographer. Not a bad product, takes some getting used to really if you never used one before. It's pretty straight forward. First off the build is ok, like any plastic flash you buy. The flash grabs on to the coupling device nicely but if you hit it, it will come off so watch for that. It does a good job, same output as a normal flash would have surprisingly. I am impressed for the price it's not bad at all. It's not something I plan on shooting with everyday. I did run it through the mill on a shoot, it will overheat if you push it at full power, like any flash would, it did take a while to get it to heat up. ETTL is ok but you have to be close to the correct exposure like any flash. It comes with a case that I didn't expect and some extra rings to attach to lenses. Anyway if you shoot Canon you will have to order larger rings. The few it comes with don't really fit anything I could find other than a 100mm lens by Canon, possibly a nifty fifty so I deducted a star for that and the size of the base is bigger than it really needs to be. It should have a hook for the ring if you want it off the lens, a cheap way to make it more versatile, I mean come on, how hard is that? It sucks that you have to take it off to put a regular flash when a simple hook latch on the base can make life easy. Anyway it's a cool tool to play with now and then. I've had it a few weeks and I've put about 6k flashes through it and it still works. Focus led's are a nice feature and they don't show up in your images.

Great value for the price
I purchased this so I could experiment with macro photography. I wanted all the Canon features but couldn't justify the Canon price tag. This was a perfect choice for me. It can't compare with the Canon build quality and probably wouldn't hold up to rugged treatment but I am careful with my equipment and will not be using it in a production environment. I have been very happy with it and expect it to give me good service. All things considered a great value for the money.
