This IS more effective than the three plug-in TRRS mics I tried and returned. It's still not quite as sensitive or effective as I'd hoped / would like, but better than the three plug-in mics or the phone mic itself, providing you clip it on close to your mouth and pointing in roughly the right direction.I'm recording videos with my Samsung Galaxy 9+ and now just have to avoid tripping on the cable.Cheers. Bought this for work, just to see how I could get on with this sort of mic compared to the hand held mics I normally use. The sound quality is decent and I had no issues using this connected to my phone (Samsung, Android) or my Dictaphone.

Plugs straight into a smartphone (Galaxy / Android), to record voice.Good sound quality.Works best 250 - 300mm away from the mouth, placed lower on the chest - if you clip it on a lapel close to the mouth, you'll get a lot of high frequency sibillants (ss - sss -ss). Clipping it lower down rolls off the top end and gives a better sound.Needs voice record app on phone. Transfer the file onto a laptop or PC using Bluetooth or a USB data cable (not all cables work, **it needs a data cable**).

after a week the clip broke whilst putting it on not strong plastic.

Not very sturdy but it suitable for informal recording.

Thought it didn't work at first. The microphone doesn't work with huawei normal camera etc, you have to download a app but works with apple and others

didnt seem to make much difference so maybe faulty , and need of replacement
