It handles 4 sets of 8ohm speakers well for an outdoor sound system.
I have the PSLSW4 4-zone speaker controller but they also make a 6-zone controller.I have this mounted on my covered patio and it is fed from a Bluesound Node audio streamer and a Fosi Audio TB10D amplifier. My Fosi amplifier puts out about 100watts a channel at 8ohms with the upgraded power supply. The Pyle speaker selector will accommodate 2 separate input devices. A or B so you could have different sounds playing in different zones. I am only using zone A. The preferred zone is selected with a switch adjacent to each volume control. It is either A or B but to turn off individual zones to be OFF, you must rotate the volume knob to OFF. The volume knob click into each volume level - it is not a smooth rotating dial but it works fine. There is no crackle or pop when moving the volume control knob. the back of the unit has plenty of room to connect the speaker wire either directly or using a banana plug. There is no balance control for right to left channel adjustments.I am feeding 2 sets of patio speakers and 2 sets of rock speakers out in the yard and all are fed with 14awg wire. All my speakers are 8ohms. My speakers sound fine and they get loud enough for adequate sound. This is an outdoor background sound system and it won't sound like a rock concert in your backyard.Make sure your amplifier is stable down to 2ohms if you will be playing all 4 speakers simultaneously. If only one speaker is ON it will see an 8ohm load on your amplifier. If any 2 speakers are ON, your amplifier will see a 4ohm load. If any 3 speakers are ON your amplifier will see a 3.1ohm load. The Fosi class D amplifier I am using is rated from 2 to 8ohms.This switch can handle up to 100watts RMS input with 18watts RMS output per speaker output. This switch is passive so it doesn't require any power source.

Rare occasion that I write a review
This passive speaker select/volume controller fit exactly what I needed. I have a multi input amplified mixer that directly feeds a set of monitor speakers for my drums, and a Bose L1B2 that I use vocals, and Bass fed through the headphone jack during band practice. I kept having to disconnect my speaker cables during band practice because The mixer would not allow the speakers to be reduced in volume and still generate enough output for the Bose. This Pyle unit has 4 speaker controls which is overkill for me, but the volume control works amazing, and if needed a simple button disconnects all speakers. A little bigger than I needed space wise, but works amazing.

Nice device for controlling multiple speaker sets.
Easy installation, well built, not too expensive!

This is the one to get.
Solid design. Sturdy. Banana plug acceptable. Not too distinct a drop in quality as each channel is added. Neat design: volume knobs click as you turn them. Two separate amp inputs, allowing for two different devices to send signals to speakers. All four channels can be selected. Also allows for different volumes in different rooms. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking to add speakers to other rooms in their house, bar, business, etc.

Great product! No apparent signal loss while driving 4 sets of speakers.
I bought this switch to control the volume on four sets of speakers individually. I paired it with a Pyle PDA29BU.5 amplifier connected to the outputs of a Sonos Connect: amp So, the Pyle amp is providing the primary volume control to the switch (which is passive, or unpowered). The pots on each of the four channels on the switch give me volume control of each set of speakers. Note: the four sets of speakers are two and three-way bookshelf speakers. So, I can't comment on how well the amp or the switch would drive monster speakers. But, for my set-up, it's exactly what I needed.

Worked well for approximately 8 hours only.
Very disappointing. Hooked up and it only worked for approximately 8 hours all together. Working with manufacturers direct. They want us to send back for repair. Sent paperwork work to them via email for proof of purchase through Amazon, didn’t hear back for 2 - 3 days, called again and they said they never received the email with the attachment, sent to them again while on the phone with them, they confirmed they received email this time and would send us the address in New York for sending the Pyle Splitter back - still waiting. Will never purchase an electronic product from this company again.

Good option to limit more Sonos amps
New home with a variety of rooms pre-wired with speakers. Rather than buy 4 Sonos amps, I used one with the Pyle speaker selection unit and then individually adjusting the volume for each speaker with the option of turning any on or off. Of course, power per channel is reduced along with the speaker impedance as more channels are active but overall the sound is quite good.

3 speaker sets @ 3.1 Ohms / 4 @ 2.4 Ohms
Just to state, i never plugged this unit in. I picked up the users manual and read : 1set= 8 Ohms /2sets =4 Ohms... But 3 sets = 3.1 Ohms. (I get the math) I just thought at that price this unit would series/parallel the 3 speakers to 8 Ohms so you don't fry ur amp! I like to listen to my music loud./ And 4 sets of speakers at 2.4 Ohms... Research if ur amp can handle 2.4 Ohms. Sorry but I have to return. These #'s were never stated in the description.
