KesonMP301 Metal Frame Measuring Wheel with Spoked Wheel (Graduations: ft.), 11-1/2-Inch Diameter

I do not get the chance to write many reviews but I felt this one was important. I am a landscape contractor and I typically go through a couple wheels a year. Mostly Home Depot products (Lufkin) I also noticed that the cheaper wheels where not accurate. This made my job more challenging. My partner has the Keson MP401 we use for site work and I liked the way it was built. I felt it would be a bit big for my jobs so I borrowed it from time to time to give it a try. So I did some research and I bought the MP301 and after using it the very first day I absolutely fell in love with it!! It is an awesome wheel!! The only thing to get used to was having to turn the dial to reset the numbers instead of my past ones that you had to push the button in to reset it. This wheel is well built and is very sturdy. I also did a test run with both wheels and the Kenson was more accurate than the Lufkin. I will never use another product again. Hope anyone reading this gives this company a try. I am very impressed, thank you.

I read some of the reviews and was a little nervous buying it. The product is made in USA and pretty solid. In some previous reviews it mentioned a non sturdy box and a plastic clip. The measuring wheel arrived in a sturdy box that was beaten up pretty good by the shipper but the product was not harmed inside. The clip is metal and the counter is pretty solid. Seems to be a very solid unit and will be getting another one for work. The price is about $100 cheaper than another brand by a diffrent supplier. Buy this one

I previously bought a 'name brand' made in China and it work for like 33 days. Just past the Amazon Prime return policy. I measured two driveway jobs and was on my way to the third when I realized that the counter wasn't working correctly. It was going from 1 to 12 to 23 to 34...etc. Piece of junk!! I bought something much more expensive made in AMERICA!!! Top notch, top quality! I will review again after a few months of use.

I've used this several times and have been satisfied with it' performance. Sturdy, well-designed and easy to use.

This wheel is one of the most heavy duty & accurate too that I have seen in a long time. The price is very reasonable. The one thing that kept it from being five stars is that upon arrival a piece of it was broken. The broken piece is a carbonate plastic latch of sorts that holds the top of the handle in place when it is folded down. The piece was broken right out of the box. However, when I called the manufacturer they sent me not one replacement, but two. They also were very friendly & prompt & took the time to remind me that if I has any problems what so ever with the wheel to call them & it had a lifetime replacement warranty on it. I was extremely satisfied with that because as humans we can all make mistakes, but what sets us apart is our ability to recover. Keson recovered. I could say the might ought to make a metal latch, but maybe that would bend or something. I agreed to put the parts on myself as that is an easy job.

Keep in mind that this ISN'T a precision measuring device. I used it to get an IDEA of how far I was throwing the discus without dragging out a long tape measure. After every ONE REVOLUTION of the wheel, a flapper trips the counter for another foot measurement. So, you're not getting the "in between" inches. You're going from 1' to 2' to 3' etc. For general and approximate readings like I want, this is fine. In fact this system may be better than the ones that measure every inch along the way because the plastic teeth on those measuring tools wear out fast and the whole unit becomes trash. Flipping the reading at every foot puts a lot less strain on the meter.

I’ve used this particular measuring wheel for years. It’s extremely tough and well built. A little more expensive than others, but holds up much better than other brands.

Not as advertised

Great product. Works excellent.I still have one I bought 10 years ago and works fine.Got another one recently for my associate.

The item meet my expectation but the tome for the delivery was fo long.
