Once my housemate and I went away for the weekend and he had turned off everything in the flat to be cautious.. including the freezer 😳.. when we came back.. there was a horrid smell in the apartment.. aaaaall that meat, 13 bags of Tesco’s finest king prawns (!) etc etc all gone off.. and the floor of the kitchen was full off water! Anyway! I thought let’s try something that would help us even if We forget to turn off or on the electrics.. so we searched online, found these.. very good value smart plugs.Absolutely magic! My housemate and I are overwhelmed!Arrived quick, looks very stylish, using the clearly outlined instruction sheet that came with it, installed the app off App Store, registered with my email (don’t like to register my phone number in things I don’t know well!!), plugged in the socket into the wall, using the app, synced the plug to the WiFi, plugged in the TV and using the app- turned on the plug which meant the tv now had electricity and could be tuned on.. the whole thing didn’t take more than a min. Very simple to use.Then went outside the building and turned off the tv from there just to test it.. life made simple!Now if I forget to turn off the tv or my housemate turns off the freezer again.. I know what to do!! can put my wash into the washing machine and have the timer on for the plug to turn on the washing machine before I get back from work, turn the electric heater on during winter evenings before I get home etc ..The three plugs are good value, provide basic effective function and look smart.it has a timer, can plan or schedule things, can turn on and off devices while away etcSo yea, very impressive sturdy smart little devices.Love my Tickens!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The TECKIN Smart Plug has been a fantastic buy.They are really smart as in features and smart in looks, as I had some before which was bulky.They are really is easy to setup and install using the smart life app and once installed you can then rename them to what every you like, I got mine setup as lounge, bedroom and attic.They are also work with Alexa (which is what I use most of the time) and Google Assistants.Using the app, you can remote control them, setup schedules and so much more.They really are super easy to use with no hub required. You just need to connect them via Wifi (2.4GHZ) with the help of the appThese are perfect for anyway looking to upgrade and/or to add smart devices to there homes, especially at this price.Overall, I'm very happy with these and I will be looking to add more for them to my house soon.

I bought a couple of different style smart plugs, recently, to see what they were like - and preferred this style (rounded) for most uses, as they’re smaller.However, I wanted to buy a multipack (at least 3) to get better value - and these gave me that, working out at c.£11 per plug vs. £13-£16 for individual plugs.As with the other smart plugs I have, these are easy to set up and use - with the ‘Smart Life’ app. I soon had them renamed and individual schedules saved for each one, so I can now just leave them and leave them to work when needed.I have two in the kitchen and one in our bedroom, all set-up to come on overnight when our electricity is cheaper and charge various devices.They have replaced two older (uglier!) timers, as seen in the attached picture.With the schedules, I can set each plug to come on as long as needed for each device - e.g. a dust-buster hoover needs much longer than a mobile phone - so I don’t use more electricity than needed

If like me you like to know what your buying then take a good look at my photos.I wouldnt advise anyone else to go to the extent that I have in checking them out, These are not built to be opened they are sealed and are not easy to open.An awful lot of cheap chinese electronic items are of such poor quality, which to be frank are often dangerous.Not These!!!For me an important thing with smart home devices, is the ability to upgrade the firmware.If you had to do it with a programmer I would say forget these, as I said before, they are not meant to be opened.However, These are Tuya made, Therefore you have a really good option.Pull out your Raspberry, Install Tuya-Convert from github and and upgrade them over the air :)As can be seen in my pictures, Tasmota-Sonoff firmware goes on them so easy over the air with Tuya-Convert, Just be sure you have the Python3-Crypto package installed, Tuya-Convert needs it :)I will definately be purchasing more Teckin smart devices :))

The product is good so far. They work flawlessly, were easy to set up on my WiFi. To anyone who may have problems connecting them to WiFi they’re supposed to run on 2.4ghz so you may need to temporarily switch off the 5ghz stream whilst connecting - I had to do this with my smart bulbs). The plugs easily synced with the app which is easy to navigate. The app also allows you to set a timer which is great for putting the heating on briefly before bed. Once I had connected to the app it was easy to sync with my Alexa app & the plugs work just as well in the app & through voice control. My complaint is that the seller contacted me as I had been 1 of 50 people ‘specially selected’ to receive a free newer plug. After asking to contact me off of amazon the seller then told me I needed to leave a 5 star review for this product in return. I deplore dishonest practices as I rely on honest reviews which is why I have left one regardless.
