If you have done tie-dye before, you will not learn much from this book. If you've _never_ tie-dyed anything, you'll learn almost nothing from this book. Instructions for every different style of tie-dye described in this book just tell you to buy Tulip tie dye ink and/or other Tulip and Aleene products, and to follow the instructions for the dye/stencil/whatever.Half of the final products of the tie-dyeing "techniques" on this book don't even show you what the finished product looks like! The other half show you what the finished product will look like, but don't show you step by step photos of the process you need to follow, they just give you written instructions with no visual aid!This is not how to tie-dye. This is how to get you to buy their products. Don't waste your time with this if you really want to learn how to tie-dye! Just watch good YouTube videos on tie-dye techniques and styles. You will learn WAY more from YT than you will from this book.But, if you really don't want to learn/experiment on your own, and you'd rather do it the, fast, easy, and _expensive_ way... you can buy their overpriced products and follow the instructions that come with the products and on this pathetic excuse for a crafting ebook.

This ebook has some fantastic ideas in it! I think! There was no place to see what the end result was. Very disappointing!I even went online to see how the batik tie-dye t-shirt looked...I never found it. The salt technique, same thing! The HEART shirt, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT TURNED OUT!So, I paid nothing for this book. Good thing, otherwise I'd have felt ripped off! Don't waste your money, just go online & see what you can find!

This book is full of good ideas and step by step instructions. I have never heard of a dye pattern for a leopard print. Many of the projects are made using kits. It tells you the name of the kit and all the other supplies you will need. Projects range from stenciling and painting to the time honored rubber bands. There are pictures, this is my major complaint about the book. The pictures are hard to make out. I did not see a picture for every finished project. I looked for the kits while deciding if this is something I might want to do. I found some reasonably priced on Amazon. IGood Luck.

I wasn't very pleased with this. The pictures were hard to follow and they didn't always show the final outcome so I wasn't really sure what my tye die should look for. I made this book useful by looking up the different techniques on YouTube and watching a step by step video of how to complete the tye die pattern. By the title, I thought there would be 24 different tye dye patterns, but that is not the case. There are some patterns, maybe about 8....but the rest are more like tye dye projects. I'm just glad I was able to get some pattern names so I could look up further information on how to tye dye.

No finished product shown, so no way to know which option is preferable for my project or to help make sure one is doing it right.

I really wanted to like this book and I definitely liked what I saw. But some only has a small picture of someone wearing the design. And others had a single picture in the instructions. This is a topic imo that needs visuals throughout. As is, I could find better visual instructions for free already. Sad, because the written instructions are pretty good.

It's a 5 star book for all the right reasons! It included pictures of finished products, which I find very helpful. Every project had a detained list of items needed and none overly expensive. The instructions were thoroughly explained and easily understandable for each step. The grandkids and I will have some fun together!!!

Its missing a lot if info. The photos they show of the finished project are too small to see much. Some projects don't even have a photo of the finished item. How would I know I wanted to try it without that? There are better tutorials on the web for some of these same techniques, plus they provide a lot more and bigger photos.Like everyone else is saying, basically an infomercial for tulip paints, and its a pretty bad one.

The book is just a collection of poorly written instructions that accompany YouTube tutorials. Without the videos or many clear photos, the instructions are far too vague.

Good ideas but could do with more illustrations or photos or both. If you're a visual person it may be hard to trust understand the methods. But for free you cannot complain! Would recommend to others on the basis there are some good ideas

I'm so glad that I didn't pay for this book. It doesn't teach or show you anything that isn't available on a Google search! You will have to go out and buy specialized dye kits to do any of the "tye-dye" patterns anyway. But then again it is free I suppose.

This book had a lot of techniques but not enough pictures of the final results!That's why I scored it so low. I want to be able to see how each piece of fabric will look after employing such techniques.Ok, but not so easy for beginners.
