Works for HP OMEN 15-ce198wm
A lot of people are posting on this saying this does not work for their HP Omen systems, I just bought this, and received it today. I want to address some things with the charger. 1st, this works for HP OMEN 15-ce198wm. I verified the part number for the charger was indeed: - 835888-001 2nd, some people are saying this charger does not charge while the computer is turned on, I verified this is not the case, and the charger DOES INDEED charge while the computer is on for 15-ce198wm. 3rd, I noticed the people complaining that the charger does not work are using a 15-dcXXXX or 17-dcXXXX, as it would appear those seem to require a different charger than this one. Hope this helps, as I was worried whenever I initially bought this, but had noticed that most people complaining about the charger not working were not using the same version of omen as I was.

Works acceptably
I ordered this as a replacement for another off-brand charger, which claimed it would be able to charge my HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2097nr laptop but did not. This charger does work, but whenever I plug it in, the computer gives this warning message. The message disappears after a few seconds, and the charger does work despite that. I am not sure whether the claim of "reduced performance mode" is true; if it is, I haven't noticed. And besides, HP no longer manufactures the original charger, so these third-party devices are all that are left.

So happy with this thing!
I’m not one to trust a generic power supply but this IS compatible with an hp zbook with the I7. Best Buy Geek Squad told my wife’s boss it was their motherboard... I simply looked at the specs on the Best Buy Insignia brand power supply someone bought/ and was sold by Best Buy, they confirmed the power supply worked. However, like most theirs was a 19v 4.74 amp 99 watt... and the bottom of the laptop says 19.5v 10.3 amp 200 watt! Big difference. Plugged this in and It turned right on...

Not for HP Omen
THIS charger would not charge my HP Omen laptop. Before I returned it I bought one direct from HP to make sure it was the charger. The one from HP worked fine. They looked the same and had the same outputs printed on them. I didn't measure them with a meter.

not quite right, but works.
Bought these to supplement multiple locations I use laptop ( HP Omen 15 DC) Laptop does not recognize as original equipment, and will not charge when in use (sees as low power source). Only charges when in sleep. Still adequate for what I need but surprisingly not optimal. Maybe there is a power setting, but this is HP equipment with same power specs as original supplied. HP is getting TOO complicated for it's own good.

Powers my Omen with a RTX 2070 Super.
Have not had any issues at all. Great product for the price.
