Good quality - takes an edge well
Supplied fairly sharp, but I used a sharpening puck to give it a nice sharp edge. It cuts very well, has a very comfortable handle, and seems well built. The only criticism so far is that the paint applied to the faces of the blade is very slippery. This means that when you try to split a log, and if the log doesn't split first time, the pinch-pressure applied by the log tends to force the axe back out due to its slippery sides - the axe metal doesn't grip the wood. I guess this is a compromise as you want the blade to slice through material without friction on the sides. Maybe as the paint wears off this will improve.

Very handy
Good little axe. All the weight is in the top so you get a good swing while still being lightweight. Nice comfortable handle and it seems to be really sturdy.

Fantastic for the price
Sad to open it up and discover that at some point in the packaging process that the edge had been burred over on half of its blade but once sharpened it is a fantastic piece of kit, the balance is forward weighted giving you great striking weight. Excellent for kindling and a hatchet work. Lighter than it looks as well, great tool, plastic sheath works on a belt and easy to use

I bought this for camping but the wieght put me off taking it camping, it is heavy, but.i got.one for camping alot better.

Great little hatchet
Great little hatchet/axe. Robust, light and sharp. Wooden things and Whitewalkers don’t stand a chance.

Nice chopper
I was initially underwhelmed by the sight of this, with its flaccid looking hollow fibreglass handle, small man length, and modest girth. However, it's what you do with it that counts. And its got impressive wood - performance that never ceases to please.

Great axe
The axe was perfect for cutting medium dead tress down it is perfect and sharp it's got a savedy catch but it pretty easy to turn so don't leave it out in the open around kids
