This does not have the distinctive flavor of Fuding Silver Needle tea, but it is less than half the price of Fuding so it is well worth its cost. It is a nice, everyday tea. I used 180 degree water for 2-1/2 minutes, which produced an enjoyable brew.

I learned about white tea from a Consumer Report publication. It is richer in antioxidants than even green tea and has a delicate flavor. Learning how to make it - it's easy - involved immersing leaves in water cooler than I've uaed for other teas.Oriarm shipped these lovely silvery tea leaves in attractive and protective packaging. The leaves weren't crushed. More leaves were whole than from my earlier white tea purchases from other sellers.Most important, the leaves were ideal for tea, not too dry and not too fresh. They still possessed the fragrant oils that influence the teas taste. Many of the leaves stand up in the tea glass when brewed, giving the tea a pretty presentation. So glad I took the dive and purchased this tea. I am not an expert and felt a little cautious about getting started.

Best quality white tea I have found-love it!

I've tried five of this seller's tea now and they are all delicious! I admit I'm a tea addict and have drank at least 100+ teas over the years, and this seller has two of my favorites of all times! The pic I've attached shows the five teas I received from his excellent customer service. I bought a larger 250 gram bag of the Silver Needle White Tea but seller's American inventory did not have it and so shipped me 100 grams initially. He then contacted me about this error and to tell me that I can choose to wait for a new 250g bag of Silver Needle to ship from China, or pick available teas already in the US. While I love Silver Needle, the tea quality was so impressive that I wanted to try the rest of other teas! I knew about his other teas that I couldn't buy anywhere in Denver and would struggle to find in any big cities, so I said I would wait for his shipments from China as long as he let me sampled whatever teas he could ship to me and I picked two new ones from his Amazon store listing.He was so courteous that I chose to trust he would ship whatever teas I would choose from his bigger inventory supply in China instead of the US, even if it took a month to for the 100g bags and smaller packages to arrive. So I paid for 250g of Silver needle, and received everything that you see in my pic because of his store error, although over the span of 7 weeks time with only the 100g Silver Needle being available in the US for fastest delivery. The American USPS typically delivers to me from China in 3 weeks time but, alas, Post Master DeJoy cannot be easily removed from his cruel cost cutting measures. 😩The Silver Needle is among my top 5 most favorite teas of all times and is my most favorite of his. Naturally earthy fruity sweet but no sugars whatsoever! Soothes my mind and stomach with its delicate floral smell that doesn't have any hint of bitterness like Jasmine green tea. The second Top 5 teas is his Long Qing Dragonwell green tea, which tastes nothing like the grassy green teas from Japan. Instead, it has rich sweet nutty flavors like a toasted rice green tea but way better! All five of his teas that I've sampled have delicate flavors and light to strong floral notes. You won't find anything like them here in the US! I got a 2nd grade Long Qing and can't wait to buy his 1st grade - the 2nd grade was that good!Lastly, teas are not meant to have strong flavors like beer, coffee, spirits, and wine. So enjoy them with pastries for brunch and with milder fruits like berries and melons. Or milder fish dishes. Best to drink tea on its own while enjoying a nice view with the AC cooling you down on a sunny summer day!

I think something is lost when all you have experienced is bagged white tea. This tea smells like hay, taste like hay, and taught me I dont like the real deal when it comes to white tea. After drinking this tea I went to back to my go to white tea from salada, and could suddenly taste the undertone of hay flavor in it. Which tells me that if my salada were fresh this is the experience I would have always known of white tea.Nothing against the tea, it came packaged awesomely, is very fresh, beautiful, brewed well. I just learned by real experience that I dont like it. That said I am still gonna buy the other version to see if I prefer that flavor profile.happy brewing.

The tea is in poor quality. This tea is too old, too brittle, it is colorless, flavorless, and tasteless.

Excellent white tea, and a good value compared to the going rate (in the US) for Yunnan silver needle. I will definitely buy this product again. UPDATE 12/29/2020: Continues to be the best silver needle white tea available, and for a very reasonable price if bought in larger quantity. Consistently high-quality!
