Tixylix have stopped making replacement pads for their battery powered Vapour Fan TIXYLIX BABY VAPOUR FAN 3 + MONTHS - COMPLETE UNIT INCLUDES PADS AND BATTERIES - 1 PACK so I thought that I would try these. To my pleasure, they more or less fit (they are a bit longer, but still fit in the holder) and have the added benefit of smelling much nicer. I not know if they actually improve breathing, but they smell like they should!

We bought these after first using the Karvol plug in but found the refills hard to find. However once we switched to this brand, I was hooked. The vapour is not as intensely mentholated as the Karvol scent, is a little gentler and more aromatic. However, these pads have to be changed every night whereas the Karvol ones last up to three nights. Our daughter has a lung condition so we make sure we always have things that help her breathe easily, but where these come really handy is during teething! I have no idea why, but once we started using these at night our daughter started to sleep more soundly despite teething pain! Would usually only use these during a cold but now they work so well for teething we are using them every night, so I am buying two at a time. They are fantastic but lose a star for the naff nightlight. Not every baby likes a light when they are trying to sleep! In fact our daughter is like a vampire so we have to cover up the light every night. Wish I could buy the plug online too as I think I would buy one myself, I am a bit hooked on the smell which is much less intense and eye-watering than Karvol and very relaxing. Could be only our baby but I really do think they help her sleep. Overall a good buy.

It is Expensive, doubly so for what you get. But, it works and there's nothing harmful in it and it's better than nose sprays / chest rubs and pillow sprays combined. I'm happy to pay the price whilst I have no alternative, but as soon as an 'Own Brand' comes on the market, they will clean up.

We bought the original vapouriser for our daughter who had a cold and blocked nose at the time that was waking her up in the middle of the night (she's 1) but with this plugged in and switched on it really helps to clear the synus'. There's not a strong smell unless you're within 18 inches of it and even then it is quite pleasant. The refils are great too as one 'tablet' only lasts a single night.Only critisism is that the cardboard box they come in is way bigger than the sachets themselves so could be trimmed down to protect the environment a little more.

We have 4 girls ages 7, 6, 4, 2 and they have all responded extremely well to this product. Seems to relieve that really annoying and disturbing coughing that goes on ALL night normally. Has been the only product we have found that does acutally work - even in bigger rooms. Ours really like the light it provides. Reasonably pricey, but we are totally happy paying @ £1 per refill for a good nights sleep! Hope it works for you too.

I use these for my daughter when she's got a cold / blocked nose etc as she gets really distressed when she can't breathe through her nose or smell. They work a treat and she sleeps through whereas without we all have a very disturbed night when she's not well!! They smell lovely when I stick my head round her door to check on her too and when she opens her door in the morning!
