Family fun
My First Castle Panic is a fantastic introductory board game for young kids. It’s easy to learn, quick to play, and encourages teamwork since everyone plays together to protect the castle. The colorful design and simple rules make it fun and engaging without overwhelming younger players. A great way to build basic strategy skills and cooperation at the same time.

Great simple co-op board game
Excellent board game! Well loved by our four year old, and even our two year old can participate easily. The instructions are clear and simple, and we're using it to teach turn-taking, being a good 'loser' (since sometimes the monsters will win). My son absolutely loves it and wants to show it to all of his friends. Additionally, the game has a 'built-in' time mechanism -- once the monsters run out, the game ends, so it won't drag on (ideal for "let's play a quick game before bedtime"). Highly recommend it.

Excellent kid game
This is an excellent game! My family loves board games and every January we have a day where we open and play several new games. For my just turned 7 year old I got this and Dragon's Breath. We liked Dragon's Breath, but we played Castle Panic 5 times in a row! It was quite exciting. We did make a house rule - instead of the castle falling as soon as a monster reaches it, we instead remove one of the supports for the castle, which in turn puts that monster in the dungeon. Ultimately it means the castle falls when a second monster reaches it since there are only two supports but it buys a bit of time and made sense to us. I have to say, this kid version is much more fun than regular Castle Panic. Castle Panic is a good game we've owned for at least 10 years but my husband and I both find it to be very anxiety inducing! Honestly, we might pull this one out from time to time to play after the kids are in bed if we want a quick, non stressful game. One last thing, this says it's for ages 4 and over but my daughter is 3 1/2 and this game would definitely not be playable for her 6 months from now. I'd say this is more like ages 5 and up but my 7 year old loves it. I got Frankie's Food Truck Fiasco for my 3 year old and it's much more her level, as well as My First Orchard.

Perfect Children's First Strategy Game
When asked for game recommendations for a children's game for kids aged 3-6, this is my recommendation. Cooperative game of matching symbols to remove goblin chips from the board. Teaches kids how to cooperate and light strategy. If your kid plays Candyland this is the absolute best next step. Card quality is lackluster but I think its ok for a children's game. My son loved that the box has art inside of a dungeon to put the goblin chips after you defeat them. It also has a nice game length for kids, we will sometimes play multiple games before putting it away. Easy to learn with super fast setup.

Goblins in the details
Fun little game, appropriate for younger children than my 7 year old, who still enjoys a round or two of it anyway. Two criticisms: the cutouts for the wall and castle don't fit quite right, so when put together they don't squarely sit on the game surface. Also, the instructions are written in such a way that the purpose of three of the goblin cards having stars on them was missed, and we played the game wrong at first. Maybe make that more clear? Overall quality and imaginative game idea means I'll look forward to future purchases from this company.

Great game to play with kids!
Great game to play with early elementary aged kiddos. It’s fast moving, easy to understand, and introduces them to the fantasy world of gaming. It’s very easy to set up and put away as well.

Not a reflection of the game. Rather, my experience and either the manufacturer's or Amazon's storage issue. Opened my brand-new, sealed box to find mold in it. There's just no way I'm touching it or placing it anywhere near my game library. Returned it immediately.

My kids, who are 5 and 7, absolutely love it. It is the right level of difficulty where we win basically every time but only by a little.

I play with my two and four year olds. My two year old doesnt understand what he is doing but he is just happy to join in a Big Kids game. My four year old loves this game and loves throwing the defeating ogres into the dungeon i.e. "inside the box." I recommend card sleeves for the cards because they will get abused by the kids.

Very easy game to play. My kids aren’t super into it but that’s not the games fault. Highly recommended for inquisitive 3 or 4 year olds and a great game for 5+
