iPad Mini case, Gray Leatherette Case Cover for Apple iPad Mini/iPad Mini 2/iPad Mini 3 (Gray)

When I bought my iPad Mini Retina from Apple, I also bought the Apple cover for it. I had earlier bought Apple's cover for an iPad2, and it worked very well. But there were 2 problem with the Mini's cover. I had assumed it was plastic, like the IPad2 cover, but it was leather. I didn't realize until I got home and looked at the receipt how much more expensive it was -- $69! But that wasn't the worst problem. It wouldn't fold flat behind the iPad, there was always a slight bend in the cover. So when I laid the iPad on a flat surface, it wouldn't lie flat, and would bounce up and down as I used it. I returned the cover to Apple.I found the Invellop cover on Amazon, and have been very happy with it. It does lay flat when folded behind the iPad, helped by the magnets in the cover. It also shuts off the device as it should when closed. It holds the iPad very securely and completely covers its surfaces (some of the other covers appear to leave portions exposed). The holes in the cover for plugs, switches, etc. are big enough. The materials and assembly appear good. And the price is very reasonable.While I'm giving the product 5 stars, I would only give Invellop 1 star due to some very poor customer service. I will be leaving some seller feedback about that issue.

Not exactly what I was expecting but it's fine for what it is. The fit is perfect for my iPad mini with retina display. Has the cutout for the additional microphone in back. All openings line up perfectly. I like that it gives you coverage on all four edges and the corners. For about two months now I use it almost every day and so far it hasn't shown any signs of wear. My only concern is that it doesn't have any padding to provide shock absorption in case of a drop or fall. This is just a hard shell with a thin "leatherette" skin over it. Provides protection from scratches however which is my primary concern. Overall I like it and would buy again as long as I wasn't looking for impact protection to my device.

I received a green case instead of a grey one...

Cardboard covered in vinyl. Cheap and flimsy. Didn't fit my iPad Mini 3 very well. It seemed like the tablet was going to fall out of this case. I didn't keep it long enough to find out if it would actually fall out though.

This is the IPad case i have gone back to, after buying it, then also trying a couple others....Ok, so sometimes you want to pimp your IPad, you know what i mean? Its a very straight forward product, not much explaining needed. The quality is good; i've been using mine daily for well over a year and its holding up just fine. A couple aspects of it to highlight, that may not be obvious from the product description is first, its very light in weight, which is nice when your throwing it in with your work, your lunch, a coffee thermos and odds and ends each day for the office...(who doesn't start to feel a bit like a pack animal at those times? So, light is good!). The other feature i really like about it is you can flip over the cover and fold it completely flush with the back if you like, or you can fold the cover into a sort of three-sided tube along the back long edge of the device, which then makes for a very comfortable way to hold the IPad for reading. And the price is very reasonable.

This case is wonderful. It protects my iPad mini and is extremely sleek. It did not add any significant size or weight. I looked on line for over a month and a half before I settled for this one. The silver grey color was less expensive than the bright colors. It was exactly what I needed and wanted.

Wow, what a fantastic case for the money! I had read some of the criticisms of the non-retina version and it looks like the company has addressed most if not all of them. Time will tell how the case holds up and I'll update the review if needed. There's no stitching to come apart, the material looks to be combination of molded and glued in place. The front cover lays perfectly flat over the screen with no bulges or gaps. The ipad is securely held in place with just enough protection from typical day to day use. It feels (to me anyway) more premium than a $20 case and has great fit and finish. Very happy so far.

Great looking case. Fits my iPad mini perfectly. So far it holding up well. I'm not sure if its my iPad or the cover, but the auto off when closing the cover sometimes doesn't work.
