Not The Best Out There
The computer has some difficulty detecting the pedometer occasionally. Although the instructions address this issue as going into "sleep mode", you need to move it to reactivate it. It takes more than a little movement to reactivate it.The data it collects is not very comprehensive, but for the price it is more than adequate for an introduction to a first-time user.Overall, it works, but if you want a more detailed collection of data be prepared to spend a little bit more.

it's ok.
I am sure this activity monitor would be great if I could use it with my computer. Unfortunately, this monitor can not be used with Windows 7. Or at least, I hadn't figured out how to use it with it. I wish I would have discovered this before my "return" time had ran out. Oh well. I'll mark this one up to experience!

Lasts half as long as stated....
My husband and I are very competitive so you can imagine how much use this device receives. Love everything about it except it's battery life. Seems like we have to buy a new one every 3 to 4 months. Yesterday mine was at 49% strength and it died. Registers as 99% now but wont upload my steps. This product needs (1) competition or (2) replaceable battery.

Disappointed our Family at Christmas
Wanting to get our family motivated at Christmas, we purchased this unit for us and our inlaws - a total of 12 people. Our plan was to create a challenge amont family members using different categories and having various small prizes throughout the year with a whopper grand-prize at the end of the 12 months. Almost everyone was excited! And after a few more days, even the naysayers were getting motivated. My husband & I started ours out right away to learn how the unit and software worked so we could help everyone else. The software no longer exists, but if you are pretty internet savvy and patient, you eventually find a hyperlink to the replacement software which ran very slow and did not have all the tools the original software advertised. When we started playing with the units themselves, one worked and one didn't. Eventually, my husband opened up the one that did not work and found that when it had been clamped together in the factory, the back seal had actually punctured the battery. We sent it back. When it came time to open them up and start using them (end of January was our start date), 9 out of the 12 of them DID NOT WORK. We tried the 200 step thing & still no activity. Of the three that worked, 2 stopped working after two weeks. And this was everyones Christmas presents??? Our start date had been 2/1/12. We collected them back from everyone so I could return them to the seller who then informed me we only had 30 days to return the product. While I will continue to work directly through LifeSourse to get our money back, I am not holding my breath. We are now investigating the FitBit and the Biggest Loser SlimCoach. I'll try to remember to update this review once we have had a chance to form our own opinions.

LifeSourrce Wireless Activity Monitor
My wife is very pleased with this product. She has used three other types of peds, and this one has been the most trouble free and accurate. I ordered it, we receieved it in 3 days, setup very easy, and uploading data easy to do as well. She appreciates the website that tracks her progress too. Highly recommmend this ped

Don't Buy This
You have to purchase the product, wrestle the website to register it, purchase a year long subscription with A&D to access your activity summary and then the battery dies and you're supposed to buy another monitor and go through all that again. They tell you the monitor will last up to 18 months. Mine lasted 7 months. I appreciate its accuracy but this product is a rip off.UPDATE: After 2 complaints to the company and a long wait, I received a new version of this monitor which contains a replaceable battery. Now, six months later, there is a new problem: I can't access the battery compartment. I tried, various members of my family tried, I even took it to a jeweler and he couldn't open it either. I'm thoroughly disgusted with this product and this company. WAY more time, aggravation and $$ than it's worth!

Can't set it up.
I owned one already, and had an account, and paid in April for one year at $42. Then my XL-20 stopped working, so I purchased a new one as the other was 1 1/2 years old. I received it and followed the instructions for one month to set it up, but I can't get it registered as I have an account with them already. I have called and left messages and sent my problem to customer services as they suggest if you are having a problem, but no one gets back to me. I sent them an email today. So I have a pedometer which I can't use, and I paid for one years' subscription. And there is a free one year subscription that comes with the XL-20. I wish that I had purchased a fitbit.I had a question about my sign on name a while ago, and I went through this then too. Not a good company as they don't seem to care about helping their customers.

Good idea
This is a fun way to monitor your steps. The problem is you are not able to replace the battery. Once the battery loose power you might as well discard the product. Newer generation have replaceable batteries.
