I don’t like to write negative reviews, but here I go. First the item didn’t arrive in a box, just packing with no instructions although it obvious how to operate it. Second the drinking bowl isn’t shallow enough to hold water for a hamster to drink from let alone a cat. You can adjust the water flow, but if I turn it low enough as to not have water splash all over there isn’t enough power to push the water through the fountain. Finally, I think the drinking bowl area is very uneven. Perhaps it was constructed this way to flow into the drain portion but if this was the concept; it makes it worse rather than better. Not worth returning for the hassle to send back to China since it took a month to get here. Live and learn.

The drinking fountain is gorgeous and works well. The only issue is cleaning the bowl, as the hole is in the middle. Overall, I'd recommend this fountain but you may need a brush tool to really get it clean.

It is so very cute and even cuter when my cat drinks from it. On the down side, it is hard to clean and so far the filter has needed changed every week. When I need to change the filter it still works but not enough for my cat to drink from the top of the whale.
