Older design was superior.
The Ri-San has a button valve, which seems unique and innovative, but typically won't deflate the cuff completely. This means that between patients, you have to fold the cuff and squeeze it to get that last bit of air out - a real pain in the neck. Reister's older style Minimus II was great: it was also a single-tube design with an over-sized dial, but it had the standard wheel valve on it instead of the button. I carried one of those for years and loved it, but they don't seem to be making it anymore. You can still find the equivalent of Reister's old Minimus II from Prestige Medical (search for "sphygmomanometer, single tube")though the quality isn't as good as the Reister one was. I would be happy to go back to using their old model if they would make it again. But they shouldn't have messed with a perfect design.

Different type of bp cuff
I was not able to use this cuff due to arthritis,I was really was looking forward to using it.I liked the design and the big dail, which I believe is more accurate, easier to see than the smaller type dails.

Love it.
Love that you can read it in your hand, remains visible. A little hard to squeeze, but does break in a little with time.

Riester
Easy to use. I sold my Welch Allyn and bought the Riester. To me the Riester is comparable to if not better than my old Welch Allyn
