Handy 15769 Center Latch Fifth Wheel Tailgate for Ford F150

Even though this listing has no photo, I made sure (by visiting the Handy site) that this was the correct part for my 2004 Ford F-150. I had it sitting around here for a few weeks before installing today. The install was super simple. Just remove the stock tailgate, transfer the hang cables to the new tailgate, then insert it on to the truck. It fit perfect! I did not have to make a single adjustment. The gate is centered and the latches line up just right.I am extremely happy with this tailgate. It's rugged, all steel construction, with a beautiful black finish. The instructions state that it can be painted to match your truck if you wish, but for me, it goes just fine with my silver truck. It's obviously a very well built (in America) tailgate.I must say that I was tempted to go for a bit less expensive gate, but really did not want a plastic gate. This one filled the bill beautifully.
