I tried the Wartner pen after seeing many positive reviews on the Amazon UK site and applied it as the video instructions on the website showed. After four days of application and four days of removal after soaking it seemed like the TCA gel hadn't really done anything, that it wasn't penetrating the rough top skin at all. I used up the entire pen and hadn't seen any results, so just before I discarded it I used one of the last drops on a small toe wart which I had worn down quite a bit with another removal method. I felt a mild stinging sensation which I never felt on my finger warts. After a couple of days I noticed a scab had formed. I let the scab naturally fall off after about a week or so and noticed another deeper scab form. After about a month the wart had completely disappeared and healed over. Interesting how it worked on a fluke with only one single-drop application.I tried again with a new approach, wearing down the skin over the warts as far as I could with salicylic acid covered with duct tape for a week or so, clipping off the dead skin with nail-clippers, and then using the TCA gel to "finish the job". The gel should sting a bit and foam white, it was never beyond tolerable and lasted for thirty minutes to an hour, and then forms a scab over the next 24 to 48 hours if it's working. The TCA seems to do a great job of penetrating thin skin (a bit of a contradiction to the instructions) and killing the root. I found its effectiveness relates to the size of the wart: It makes short work of small warts, but larger and more resilient warts may grow back faster than the TCA can destroy them, and it seems to have almost no effectiveness againt periungual warts. Just be mindful the pens don't hold a lot of gel so you're best buying a few if you have a lot of warts.

I purchased this 1 year ago from amazon here for $13.49 (from this same seller) and now they want $44.59. No reason for the price spike. Less than a minute ago I found it on ebay for $13.79. Same exact product, exact. It works but you may need 3 or 4 of these and use them regularly for many weeks depending on the kinds of warts and how many. I highly suggest only treating few and small areas from start to finish before moving on to other warts, otherwise diluting the treatment over a lot of skin will cause healing to be slower and the process to less effective and take longer.5 stars for the product.1 star right now because this is listed way too expensive.1.29.17 update: the price is lowered here to $15 so I increased the stars.
