Tuffy Rugged Rubber Grenade Medium

Purchased this toy after too-little deliberative thought as a stocking stuffer for our rambunctious golden puppy. He is six months now and 40 lbs.I was wary that the "medium" size, the largest offered, would be too small for long-term enjoyment. Perhaps it is slightly too small, but I think it is fine. Very large breed dogs may not benefit from the size. It is larger than a tennis ball, and excellent durable black rubber with a (quite thin) white nylon rope. The rope will eventually get chewed-through and will have to be replaced- if anything, it is the "weakness" of the product.Turns out it is great fun. I had anticipated a toy that my pup would open, play with, and ignore after a short while- he has puppy ADD. However, this has seemingly inspired his playful anarchism to really shine. He grabs the wick and goes nuts. The bomb will fall out of his mouth, we'll all mock-explode, and he gets great glee. Tons of fun for one and all. Since it is rubber, it has excellent bounce and retrievability. And since our pup grabs the rope first, it dangles, wrecking-ball style, and he growls in play as he tries to contain it. Really great.

Loved this bomb! I actually bought it for a prop for a child's spy themed party. We are using it to play the hot potato game with it. Because it is heavy and made of a very thick rubber it will work beautifully. It has a hole on the bottom of it as all dogs toys do. It is definitely rugged so if you are buying it for a dog, it is good quality and should last . Fits perfectly in the size of an adults hand. I also love how real it looks. Great product all around.

...HEAVY! We play with this in the house and it hits the floor with a very solid thud. Use caution around lamps and other breakables. It is funny to see our dog trotting around with the bomb dangling from her mouth by the fuse, but it's definitely not her favorite toy--too big to gnaw on and not easy enough to grip for tug o' war. She'll fetch it for us about 3 or 4 times before she quits as compared to a tennis ball which lasts around 8 or 10 throws before she's done.

I actually like this toy... It's tough and durable, just like it was described. Unfortunately, it said that the Extra Small size was for dogs up to 15 lbs, which isn't true! The label (after it arrived) says it's for dogs up to 12 lbs. My Morkie weighs 13 lbs, and this toy is just a TAD too small for his mouth. He's not quite a year old, so not done growing... Which means I'll only get to take advantage of the super tough rating for a few more weeks at best.Just wish they had been truthful in the description so I could have ordered the next size up. I may still purchase this again, just the bigger size. Either way, you've been warned! Buy at your own risk.

We bought this toy for our 10 month old bloodhound puppy who likes to chew and chew and chew on something until it is in a million pieces. We play catch with her using this toy, and then she'll focus in on it when she is tired and try to destroy it. This toy is solid hard rubber, and so far it shows no signs of wear. Usually our puppy gives up after a few minutes of trying and looks for something else to chew up, like my shoes!If your dog likes to chew, I recommend you get this toy. Be careful though as it is kind of heavy and could break a glass window.

The string was gone within minutes! But the actual grenade has surprisingly held up pretty well! My 1-year-old pup is an 80-pound lab/poodle/mastiff/retriever mix. I thought he would have chewed off the grey part by now, but so far so good! Definitely shows lots of chew marks. But I'd recommend. It's a good size for playing fetch in the house!

I bought the medium grenade for my 30 lbs mini aussie. He chewed the rope off and tore chunks off the top of the grenade (the grey part) within about 5 minutes. To be fair, he is the type that will try to chew apart every toy he comes into contact with. It is a cool toy but it is NOT made for tough chewers. If your dog is the type that enjoys seeing their toys in pieces, this is not for them.

Dogs ripped the rope and top off both of these in 5 minutes but they love them. I now have 2 of them without the top and rope but they continue to play with them and they seem to be holding up fine

Our dog fell in love with this even before we had unwrapped it! How DO they know!? She was standing on two legs and wagging her tail and this toy has not left her side all the time she is indoors.It is not a squashy toy and doesn't squeak, but is surely indestructible as it is very hard rubber and her teeth have as yet made no marks on it. Worth the price and delivered quickly.

Very small but a whole lot of fun for my dog Tia. She hasn't stopped carrying it around and even sleeps with it.

use this for a bomb party game, it's quite robost enough for children to throw around without breaking but also not so heavy that anyone has got hurt

A truly excellent pig-shaped toy. Tough, but a little small. Has nice flowers on him also.
