Beautiful in appearence and workmanship

I've never purchased an Allen Edmunds product before so I don't have any comparisons. This belt was like $100 or so. I was going to wear it to a wedding because it goes well with my Loakes. The plastic hangar on the belt says 34 but I ordered a 32. The belt itself says it's a size 32 but I typically wear a size 30 and the belt was already at the last hole. I don't think it's even a 32. The belt and buckle seem extremely cheap and light. This thing is without a doubt going to crack and split in a short time. Decided not to wear it and will be returning and probably never going to purchase from this brand again.

I bought this belt in Walnut to match my Allen Edmonds Men's McAllister Wing Tip shoes in Walnut. The color match is spot on. I don't own the Dalton or other shoes in Walnut, but I would imagine the color match would be spot on for those as well. The belt comes with broguing that matches the brouging on the wingtips from Allen Edmonds. The quality of the leather is top notch - it feels nice and buttery and seems like it will age well. I get a lot of compliments wearing the shoes and belt together from people in my office.An important note - as other reviewers have mentioned, the belt does run short. I am roughly a 30 waist and got the size 32 belt, which is almost perfect but is on the short side compared to other 32 belts that I have. A good few inches in length shorter. Since I'm fairly slim, the belt length was fine, but if I was a 31, I would barely be able to use the belt. Get the next size bigger, and if you are an inbetween size (31, 33, etc) I would even suggest going two sizes up, unless you like having the tip of the excess belt ending one or two inches after the buckle part.

This belt is very well-built, and demonstrates the excellent, tried-and-trusted quality of Allen Edmonds. I love the brogue details and the two-tone leather. Though it looks absolutely smashing, I am still left in remorse about paying US$100 for a belt (and I even got a discount through an Amazon coupon). I wish something this stylish and high quality were available just a bit more affordably--I'd even feel better about paying $80 for a belt, as I recently did for a reversible brown/orange Cole Haan. In all, Allen Edmonds products are the best in the business, but I am only giving this 4 and not 5 stars because it is so freaking pricey.Finally, just a side note that some other reviewers have been right in suggesting that this belt runs a little on the smaller side. So if you are a 32, definitely order the belt in a 34, etc., as per the belt-sizing standard... Unless you are pretty skinny like me, ordering at your pant size is going to result in a slightly shrink-wrapped belt. Enjoy!

Perfect belt and it matches the shoes perfectly. Had reservations getting the belt on Amazon and not from store but it was authentic and fast shipping . Happy purchase.

The Manistee belt has definitely evolved over the years, but it is still a great quality AE belt. Despite what another reviewer stated, this is a genuine Allen Edmonds product… maybe they just haven’t purchased an AE belt in a few years. The markings on the inside of the belt are the same as other CURRENT AE products. The walnut color matches my walnut AE shoes great…especially my new Lombard Chelsea boots, which I purchased this belt to match.
