CTMMen's Elastic Braided Belt with Covered Buckle (Big & Tall Available)

Love these belts, but sizes are inconsistent

I am overweight. When I had to order a new belt I was hoping that it would motivate me to drop some lbs. However, the elastic feature of this belt has me considering gaining weight to truly test this belt beyond its structural limits. It does keep my pants up for which the world owes it a debt of gratitudeUpdate-still like the belt but the small loop did break off after about 6 months of daily useUpdate-belt died on 08/11/18 as buckle portion of belt broke away from joint with stretchy material- somewhat disappointing but it did last over a year of heavy everyday use, so I knocked it to 4 stars if I could I would give it 3.5 stars. I have had more expensive leather belts last less with less use.

I have been using these belt for a few years and found them a good buy. My blue belt (right), over two years old, was showing ware on the buckle. It is still functional, but is not limited to work pants and jeans. A black belt (left), ordered the same time, had showed little ware but its shape was more of a D shape. I found the a blue (center) on Belts dot com with a D shape and placed the order. When I received it, it was just as I expected. The only other problem I have had was the 2015 belt unraveling at the end that goes through the buckle. Happened once, but not again in the many colors of belts I own.

UpdateWhile I have had previous good luck with these belts this one ordered in April is now tearing up after 3 months with only occasional use. The quality is lower then previous purchases. The faux leather is ripping off and the tongue broke in half. I will have to buy different brand as I do love these woven belts.I like these belts they're quite comfortable and they're quite durable and last a long time. The gray belt is a bit lighter gray than what's pictured other than that it's still nice. I was thinking it was more darker charcoal gray. I will still keep it as I like these belts.They're especially good along flights etc as a stretch and relax when you're sitting forever.

I have a couple of ruptured lumbar discs and my therapist recommended an elastic belt to replace my leather belt. Got these and they are wonderful and I feel they have stopped putting pressure on my low back. Bonus: don't have to undo the belt to take off the pants, just stretch it off and on. Only issue was I bought a 2x based on my waist, I ended up with a Large eventually because the 2x ended up going around 1 1/4 times when snug, 1x still too large when stretched out, would have rated 5stars but for this. But I kept them for my yard work pants, kick around shorts etc. Will buy again for sure.

This belt acts almost like an elastic band for your pants. It stretches and can be adjusted to whatever tightness you desire. The reason it is better than the elastic band is the tightening feature, a must for any belt. But, once the belt is set, it is hardly noticeable unlike a traditional leather belt. Due to the elasticity, your stomach is able to expand and contract naturally making me wonder why I never looked to ditch my belt before. Just as an aside, I first decided to try a braided belt because of the good folks at the 'Freakonomics Podcast' who dedicated an episode explaining why traditional belts sucked; the braided belt was a suggested alternative. I couldn't agree more!

DESIGN: The fact that this belt is elastic may help with its longevity and durability. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the piece of leather attached to the end of the belt is too large to easy fit through the belt loop. I bought this belt to wear it everyday and the fact that I have to fight with that piece is annoying.SIZING: I'm a big guy. I normally wear a size 50 or 52 pants. I bought the 3x version and it fits sort of like a size 50 belt but since it's elastic it fits me comfortably.

The belt was just as shown. It id made of good quality for a cheap price. Was totally happy with it!

DURABLE AND ADJUSTABLE PRODUCT

Love it. The lack of holes mean it's completely adjustable to exactly where you want it. This makes it useful if you suffer bloating, PMS, weight fluctuations or for pregnancy, as well as normal daily use. For me it's ideal because it allows movement when bending etc. So I can go about my gardening, DIY and playing with my toddler without constantly hitching up sagging jeans or trousers. It's not perfect as there is still some slipping down and pulling up during the day, but it's a big improvement. The elastic is sturdy enough the stretch the allow movement and then return to shape without any problem and this hasn't been the case with others I've tried that ended up weakening and getting fold marks. The quality of the buckle and leather or leather-effect bits is not the greatest and probably won't last for ages, however it's not too bad and when it wears out, I'll happily buy another. In fact, I might even do that now, just in case. The only other down side was that I had to go to the delivery office to collect it because the way it had been packaged meant it didn't fit through the letterbox, when in fact it would have been easy to post it so that it did. All in all though a thumbs up!
